Its officially mud season🌧

Although the mud never really seems to dry up here at Finchmore HQ (this photo was taken in August😂) we are bracing ourselves for another wet and windy winter!

NEW SERVICE ALERT😁

I am pleased to announce we will now be offering a drop off and pick up service. From today, if you can't, for whatever reason, get to us to drop off or pick up your dog, we'll do it for you! Safely delivering your dog to and from our home to yours, belongings and all! Why not get in touch to see if our new service may be beneficial.

You asked, we delivered 💪 all constructive feedback is taken seriously at Finchmore, and where possible, I will always try to make my customers requests for services happen❤️

Feeling grateful🥰

Finchmore For Dogs is now trusted by 150 dog owners. 150 caring, wonderful people who only want whats best for their dogs. I talk a lot about dogs on this page but I just wanted to show some appreciation for all the dedicated dog owners who love their dogs wholeheartedly.

It's a humbling moment to know 150 people from across the three counties, (and up and down the UK! 🤯), put their trust in me to care for their most precious dogs. From our part-time beginnings in a 2 bed semi in St. Johns, to now our wonderful country cottage with acres of land just for dogs in Malvern, I am so grateful to every dog owner who's made this possible.

Day trips 🚙

At Finchmore, we love taking our long stay dogs to novel and exciting places. Not only is it physically enriching, its mentally enriching too, so many new sights and smells, especially in locations further away from home, makes for a house full of happy, tired dogs by the end of the day.

We try to take day trips as frequently as possible, depending on the needs of the dogs in our care. If you'd like your dog to have the opportunity to take a trip, whilst their with us, get in touch now to avoid disappointment. Spaces for boarding are very limited, we advise booking in advance as much as possible.

Fully booked until October🥰

We're pleased to announce we are now pretty much fully booked until October, save some very very select nights here and there. Our busy season is over half way done and we've had a cracking summer with loads of wonderful dogs.

We will be taking a few days early September offline to recharge from our best season yet. Familiarisation sessions will start up again in September, on selected dates, so if you'd like your dog to have the chance to stay with us, please do get in touch.

If you're thinking of going away in October, November or December please do get your dates into us now, especially half term dates! We will be taking some annual leave in November too, so please get in touch to avoid disappointment!

Mr Sprout takes on mantrailing!👣🐕🚶‍♀️

Today was our first session hosting mantrailing with Hereford Mantrailing! We had a wonderful day, meeting wonderful dogs and their owners who were all so dedicated to doing the best by their dogs- we love to see it!

Finchmore's own Mr Sprout had a great few runs, he picked up the game so well, was very noisy and enthusiastic and loved finding his 'missing person'. It was mesmerising to watch all the dogs use their noses, yet again I'm reminded why I love dogs, they're so amazing.

We will be hosting again in July (already fully booked) but keep an eye out for more dates being added in the future! I think it's safe to say Sprout and I are hooked! We hope to see you out there!

Finchmore Dog Walking, what does it mean?🐾🚶

Finchmore Dog Walking means all the high standards of love, care, safety and welfare you'd expect from Finchmore Home Boarding, translated into convenient half day packages.

With morning or afternoon slots available on Tuesdays or Fridays, you can rest assured when your at work, a function or busy with life, your dog will receive only the highest possible standards of care whilst having an absolutely wonderful time on our 4 acres of private land.

INTRODUCING: FINCHMORE FOR DOGS!

Finchmore Home Boarding will now be known as Finchmore For Dogs as we are over the moon to announce our new service, Finchmore Dog Walking!

Allow your dog to enjoy all the perks of Finchmore Home Boarding in easy and convenient morning or afternoon slots with Finchmore Dog Walking. We will collect your dog from home, bring them to Finchmore HQ for a minimum of 1 hour of fun, then we will drop them home again. Max 4 dogs per group.

Your dog will have sole access to our nearly 4 acres of private land, free running time in our secure areas, agility field, and more! Morning slots between 9am-12pm, afternoon slots from 1pm-4pm (for Malvern dog owners, please get in touch if you're Worcester based). Dog walking is an unlicensed activity (meaning there is no regulations like home boarding) but trust in the fact Finchmore's strict home boarding policies for safety and welfare translate to our new dog walking service.

Prices from £20 per dog. Current Finchmore Home Boarding customers will receive a welcome discount of 25% when booking 5 or more walks (first booking only). Walks available on Tuesdays and Fridays only at this time. More days added if there is demand.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

I always try my absolute hardest to communicate with owners in a timely manner. We are mostly fully booked for summer now with limited space remaining (as always, please reach out regardless if you think we might be fully booked, we DO have space on selected dates), meaning we have on average 8 dogs total in the house (fully booked is 10).

We pride ourselves on providing an excellent service to your dogs, but with having so many, 95% of my time is devoted to caring, feeding, loving, walking, playing, cleaning and paperwork, (far to much cleaning and paperwork for my liking), to ensure your dog receives only the absolute best care possible. I also spend a lot of time constantly improving our spaces to ensure they remain safe, fun environments for your dogs to enjoy at their leisure.

My number one priority will always be the health, safety and welfare of the dogs in my care. Unfortunately this leaves me little time to sit down and get updates to owners and reply to enquires. I prioritise getting back to those owners who's dogs are currently in my care and replying to general enquiries when I can. Please bear with me during this very busy time. I promise to get back to you, and to send as many updates as I can, as soon as humanly possible.

Mantrailing 🐾🚶‍♀️

Finchmore is pleased to announce we will be hosting our first mantrailing session, on Sunday 30th June at 8.30am-midday, in partnership with Hereford Mantrailing!

Hereford Mantrailing will be running the event, using our fields to do so. Mantrailing is a growing sport in the UK whereby the dog uses its nose to find a 'missing' person.

This is an introduction session, open to everyone, no experience required. Molly and Sprout (pictured left) will be joining in the fun. There are 4 spots left for our session, if you'd like to book a place please head to the link:

Ever wondered what heaven looks like? Well, I think it's this. Five happy dogs free running in a secure field! 😍 We operate a never-off-the-lead policy here at Finchmore Home Boarding. For safety and security we will never let your dog off the lead, unless we rent a secure field! We often rent secure fields to allow the dogs in our care time to properly stretch their legs, play, chase a ball and sniff. We will always ask you before we take your dog to a secure field, to double-check you're happy for them to run off the lead. Health, safety, welfare and happiness are always our top priority!
