Let's talk GRASS SEEDS!🌾

As you can see from today's photos grass seeds are EVERYWHERE !

These little problematic things can cause your dog discomfort and irritation, and cost you money!

We mainly see grass seeds enter your pet's body through their ears and between their toes. However, they can pe*****te the skin anywhere. And once they are in, they can travel and cause problems.

Signs your dog may have a grass seed include head shaking, excessively licking their paws, lameness.

Please check your pup closely all over (including ears and eyes!) after walks, bathing their feet and cutting back long hair in the summer, especially on their feet.

DOG THERAPY

🩶 Most of you know, but not all, that I lost my darling Dad last week. 🧡

All my doggies and owners who were affected completely rallied around, and you have made me feel immensely proud to call you all my extended "woofy family."

It was lovely to get back to work on Monday, mainly for the fantastic therapy that dogs and walking brings to my life.

Therefore I would like to take the opportunity to thank my lovely husband on our wedding anniversary for everything he supports me with, including running a safe and successful business.

☀️☀️EXTREME WEATHER☀️☀️

When forecasts are set to rising temperatures, adaptations may be needed to keep the dogs safe.

🌡️I have a thermostat and a linked app clearly showing the temperature within the van. If I believe the dogs are in danger I will cancel walks.

💦 Not only do I carry fresh water at all times, I will tailor the walks to include water spots and shade.

⌚ I will be taking the dogs out for the morning walk and mid morning walks by 9 and 11am to ensure we are not out in the late afternoon sun.
I may also need to shorten walks if I feel the dogs are under any threat to heat exhaustion.
