🍁🐓🥾 Muddy chicken runs 🐓🍁🥾

🌧️ With all the rain we have had over the last week, lots of customers are asking us about mud in their chicken run.

We have tried every system we can think of over the last 20 years, from sand to concrete, and have found our mud management system to work the best for both us and the hens 🐔

🏬 If you visit us, you will see it set up and in use in all our pens here.

‼️☔️ Another tip is if you have a very flooded, or exceptionally muddy area then lie pallets over the top to create a platform so the hens can stand in the dry.

‼️ Rehoming ‼️ We have 2 lovely young hens looking to be rehomed together to a special place! One is semi blind/blind (and has been since hatching) but is fit and well and laying eggs and she loves life 😊
She will need to be kept in a run so she can’t wander off, with food and water in the same place. She is a lovely hen and her companion is very friendly too.
They are both around 8 months old.
