Teddy here! So here’s a Chrimbo conundrum for you….. how is a good, generous pony like me, supposed to wrap presents without fingers and thumbs???? I’m doing my best but I appear to have a huge ball of sticky tape attached to my schnozzle and that seems to be attached to this present….. erm….. I say! Is there a hooman around? I could use some fingers!!! Oh I can just see it’s not sticky tape it’s a sticky red bow!!! Hmmm now that gives he a plan…. Time to let the big man up North know I have a red nose and the forecast says misty! So you lot have your one more sleep and I’ll get busy helping Santa, what a good boy I am!
Chrimbo kisses to all of you! Mwah!!!! ###X

At 32 years young, our sweet Fred embodies the beauty of a life well-lived. A former therapy pony, Fred has spent his days teaching kindness and sharing love, first with residents of a care home and now with all of us at The Horse Trust. 💚

He’s a gentle soul and a true hero in his own right, who delights in scratches, a chill with his Shetland herd mates, and the occasional adoration from visitors young and old. Seeing him bask in the crisp autumn air is a reminder to cherish life’s peaceful, quiet moments. 🍂

Thank you, , for the joy you’ve given and continue to give. You are truly one of a kind. 🐴✨

Did you know The Horse Trust exists because of one book? 📖

Ann Lindo was so inspired by Anna Sewell’s touching story of Black Beauty all of those years ago, that our sanctuary was born in 1886, to give respite to those like Black Beauty, right the way through to retired working horses of today such as our magnificent residents.

Thankfully, the working horses of today live much more pleasant lives than they did once upon a time. We can thank Anna Sewell for playing a huge part in that. The book resonated with so many people at the time, that it created a whole shift in the way we view and treat horses.

We know all too well the difference stories can make. So this , we encourage you to think about how you can use your voice, in whatever form, to make a positive impact like those who have come before us 💚 HTx
