Oscar loved the flooding, me not so much!

As soon as I saw the river had burst, I put him on the lead and kept him on until we reached higher, safer ground. Most routes we tried to take had areas that were impassable, and we spoke to two workmen who told us they’d just been stuck in their buggy on the Forrest Bank side and advised us to avoid it altogether—which, luckily, I’d already decided to do as soon as I saw it.

The river irwell has burst and is overflowing on Forrest Bank side, the river path is now a part of the river and is dangerous. Also flooding near bottom pond which is impassable. Avoid and stay safe ⛔️⚠️

Also close to bursting on the other side. Avoid Drinkwater Park altogether if you can

Today was an emotional day as I said goodbye to these two gorgeous girls after walking them for the past two years. Olive and Olga, you will always hold a special place in my heart—thank you for being the very best girls. I will miss you both so much.

A huge thank you as well to their wonderful owners, who have been amazing clients.

The girls enjoyed their final walk with one of their best furrends, Charli. 🥰🐾

Back to work today after an incredible five days and nights in New York City with my wonderful family. They even treated me to a 10a.m. visit to the Manchester City Bar on my birthday— that was an experience 🤣

In just five days, we walked over 100,000 steps and managed to fit in so much, but my top three highlights were the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge at night, and the 9/11 Museum and Memorial. It’s such a magical place, and I’m already looking forward to going back one day in the future.

I also loved spotting all the local dogs around the city and in the parks, especially in their own designated areas. New York dogs are so well-behaved—it was a joy to see! 🥰🐾
