Same dog, a year apart ❤️

Meet Isla, the Mastiff cross. It’s no secret that I love a big dog and Isla is no exception. She was a cuddly, loveable puppy and is now a cuddly, adorable adolescent 🤣

Her brother Ozzy also visits the salon at the same time and neither of them know their size! Any thoughts Ozzy may have of relaxation go straight out of the window with his sister here.

Both absolutely gorgeous dogs and a pleasure to have in the salon ❤️

Rip the Husky ❤️

He’s come a long way since his first visit to us…

A typical young husky, he found the grooming process quite overwhelming. He was vocal in the bath and during drying, hated being brushed and tended to mouth hands when they attempted this.

Rip’s family have worked very hard during his adolescence to give positive meaning to being brushed and handled for grooming. It has worked a treat!!

He now sits in the bath pretty happily without vocalising. He doesn’t mind being brushed and dried, especially when wearing his happy hoody (see photo). He loves the attention and appreciates the odd cuddle here and there to reassure him that everything is ok 🥰 Drying feet and doing nails are still a challenge (as they are for many breeds) but you can’t have everything 🤣🤣

Keep up the good work Rip ❤️

Newbie boy, Leo ❤️

What a superstar he was! Loved the bath, dryer, brushing, trimming and everything inbetween.

Plenty of dead undercoat came out, making way for the new winter coat to come through.

Handsome Loki ❤️

This gorgeous boy is now a regular at our Spa. His coat looks beautiful and is in great condition.

One major consideration we have when grooming Loki is that he is blind. Because of this, we take even greater care when moving him around the salon. He can get disorientated easily, so we tend to move him around onlead. He loves the bath and the table as he feels safe and knows we listen to his needs carefully. He also loves the garden ❤️ He seems to have memorised the shape of it and doesn’t bump into anything. He loves sniffing every corner and then lying down ready for his ride home 🥰

He is such a joy to spend time with. He has a typical Samoyed zest for life - always smiling and happy!

New boy Percy came to see us today ❤️

He loved every part of his spa experience - the bathing, the drying, the brushing and even the nail trimming!! Unknown for a Pug 🤣 Such a good boy ❤️

Also check out his muzzle!! Percy hasn’t got the typical flat-face that we see in most Pugs. He is more like the ‘retro’ or original style Pugs (circa 1500s) that were bred with longer muzzles. They generally have less issues with breathing 🤩

Big lad Dexter had a good scrub in the tub today ❤️

A typical Bernese, he has an aversion to standing for longer than 5 seconds and so the afternoon involved a lot of huffing and puffing on Jess’ part as she attempted to get his legs dry 🤣🤣 Not an easy task when the dog in question is nearly three times the size of the groomer!

Love a Bernese ❤️

CHRISTMAS SPA PACKAGE ANNOUNCEMENT INCOMING….

Yes! It’s that time of year again folks.
We are very close to announcing what is going to be included in our Christmas Spa Package this year.

For those new to our salon, every year we offer a luxury spa add-on to all those dogs who have appointments in December 🎄

Watch out for the post as it will include the details. Pricing will be staying the same this year at £20. We will also be offering digital Christmas photos (without the spa package) for just £10 again.

As always, to add the package to your December apt, we do require the £20 upfront as we only have a limited number available.
