It was feet Friday today on the yard with 8 of our residents having new shoes or trims by our farrier Lee.

He will be back on the yard on the 15th of October for the second lot to be done 😁

Today we had the lovely Megan Thomson from feel good equine sports massage and training come and give some of our liveries lessons.

We will be having many more sessions like today coming up, not just with Megan but with a selection of instructors who teach a variety of disciplines whom we have come to know over the years.

We will definitely be keeping our residents ticking over during the winter period.

Id say the summer nights are coming to an end (we never had many we know) but summer or not we feel very strongly about this having seen some very close calls previously.

As a responsible yard we have it written within our rules we do not allow our liveries to leave the yard without hi-viz if they are going on public highways and feel every yard should be the same.

😁 A very welcome delivery today....26 bags of brand new riding chip surface ready for our arena refurb on August 3rd.

It was always our aim to replace the arena within our first year at meadowgate due to it being in pretty bad shape, however its not a cheap job but somehow we have managed to do it along with everything else 💪

we will be removing the current sand surface laying new membrane then adding our new riding chip providing our liveries with an all weather surface, versatility for all riding disciplines and a supportive surface promoting ideal horse movements ensuring a decreased risk of horse lameness. 🐎🐎🐎

Well after 2 months off on maternity leave Tisha is back to work from today.

Will definatley save my ears hearing the liveries screaming when they see the mice and rats 🤣

We've had confirmed cases of strangles in the area (Altricham) with 1 yard in urmston already isolating.

We do NOT have any horses with symptoms but with the information we have been provided as a preventative measure my yard Meadowgate Livery Stables is now closed to anyone that doesn't have a horse stabled with us until further notice.

I apologise if you have friends on my yard but do not turn up as you will be turned away there are no exceptions to this and I would much prefer this than the alternative.

I'm sure you will all understand

Today was the day we started removing all the horrible barbed wire from one of our fields and opening it up from 2 paddocks to 1 big one

Unfortunately it didn't quite go to plan for our yard manager Ellen Staveley 👀

Morning everyone

Hope your all enjoying the lovely weather seems like a lifetime ago we were able to string consecutive days of sun together. 😎

We have a few stables that have come available but we are by no means in a rush to fill them as we want the right people on our yard.

If you thrive on bitching, drama and can't afford to maintain your ponies life from one week to the next then our yard is definitely not for you as we only want happy genuine people to get along with our current bunch of lovely liveries.

DIY starts at £35 per week with the option for assisted, part and full livery.
