The Urbanpaw Family are all independent groomers, all of which are City & Guilds Qualified and trained in grooming styles from Kennel Club Breed Standard to Asian Fusion and beyond, not to mention, each groomer is a qualified 'Canine First Aider' to give you that added reassurance. Here at Urbanpaw, our groomers will only do what is in the best interest of your pet. We strictly adhere to the animal welfare act and will offer information and advice where required to all pet owners.

So the BIG NEWS you've all been waiting for! We know of the MANY rumours and speculation circulating around Didsbury and beyond, (we all love a good gossip!) AND you all thought one of our best was leaving us for new pastures. Well...
.. I am finally very happy to let you all know that Aimee of .and.claws_grooming is OFFICIALLY THE NEW OWNER of 🎉🎉🎉

It's been a wonderfully crazy 8.25 years being part of the local community and meeting every single one of you and your pets over the years. However, it's now time to hand over the reins to an incredibly talented, passionate and lovely person who will make the business grow and provide more exciting services for your pets.

I wish Aimee all the success for the future and knows that Urbanpaw is in the best hands possible. ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙 Here's to another amazing 8+ years! 🥂

There will be a 2+week handover to ensure that everything keeps running smoothly and I will be popping in now and again just to say Hi!

OMG!! It's not often that we receive exciting news, but we have just found out that we were nominated, and have now been selected as a finalist for an 2024!!!!

We are absolutely thrilled to hear the news! Although the salon is the one nominated, this prestigious recognition truly goes to Aimee, Harriet & Jasmine for all their hardwork, their incredible skills and love for all the dogs that visit us. Without them (and of course all our wonderful customers) it wouldn't have been possible.

As self-employed pet groomers, it has become increasingly more difficult in this economic climate to earn a living from running a business. So Urbanpaws goal has been to support their businesses so they can earn a living that allows them to live and not just survive; and, without the added crushing pressure of running a salon.

I cannot thank them all enough. This award nomination belongs to you all!

As of the 1st of February 2024 the XL bully ban in England and Wales comes into full force.

Although we may not agree with 'breed specific legislation', (particularly blanket legislature that also targets responsible dog owners that own a pet with a particular aesthetic) there will always be things beyond our control. So, we put together this post with some information, in hope that it will help some people provide the necessary paperwork for their pet before this ban comes into full force.

We would highly recommend contacting the if the information regarding this new legislation is confusing. Reilly's family have adopted and fostered many dogs from them and they have always been incredibly helpful.

The good news is, when it comes to grooming, we are insured to continue offering services to XL Bully owners services if we follow certain provisions. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask Reilly or the team. Xx
