⭐️⭐️Pricing & what that includes⭐️⭐️
Bird boarding & home visits.
Prices start from £20 per day for 'in-our home' boarding & £15 per hour for 'in-your home visits' - with boarding prices predominantley being based on the number of birds needing to be cared for. The amount of work and the skills required are all within the daily and hourly prices. With regards to the 'in-our home' boarding service, we WILL NOT charge extra fees outside of our set prices.
So what do you get for your money?
**'In-our home' boarding**
At Lord Of The Wings, we will be present to care for your birds for a full 24 hours per day, & a minimum of 18 hours per day on occasional Mondays & Wednesdays.
Your birds will receive lots of interaction with us, any required enrichment activities, and cage-free time (if agreed by you).
Birds are creatures of habit, and we completely understand the importance of replicating their everyday lives when away from the comfort of their own homes - therefor, your birds will be fed their usual foods, at the exact times and in the exact quantities specified by you. We will also administer any medications or supplements exactly to your instructions.
Birds are extremley vulnarable to air-borne chemicals & unknown pathogens. Our home is completely free of anything that could harm them. We are a non-smoking household. We do NOT use Teflon coated or non-stick cookware. We do NOT use any aerosols or body fragrances inside the home during your birds stay, or for a while before that time. And we do NOT use scented candles, aromatic oils or air fresheners.
We own 15 well loved & cared for birds of our own. They have a dedicated bird room seperate from our house. A strict hygeine routine including a change of clothing is conducted each time they are attended to during your birds stay. This is done to prevent any cross-contamination & contraction of pathogens that ours & your birds have a built-up immunity to.
Inherent behaviour to avoid predation in the wild enables ALL birds to hide illness very well, often times until it is too late for inexperienced owners to see. However, years of experience with birds has afforded us the ability to spot even the most subtle signs & changes in behaviour. So just know that your birds health will be constantly monitored, and if necessary, professional help sought immediately.

**'In-your home' visits**
The hourly rate is fixed dependant on location, with all needs being catered for within the alloted time. Your birds will be cared for to your EXACT instructions & to our high standards. Whatever needs doing during the visit, will be done.
Aside from your bird care needs - your home will be kept clean & tidy, your post will be picked up & stored, your lights and/or heating will be set and switched on or off. We'll even water your house plants and garden for you.. & if needed - we can arrange for food & drink essentials to be stocked for when you arrive home. Need us to put your bins out the night before too? No problem!
Any requests and times of service can be discussed prior to booking.
**How are our fees calculated?**
It's very simple. We have an hourly rate, & a full day rate. The hourly rate only applies to 'in-your home' visits - with anything agreed on within those time-frames being part of our service. Full day rates apply to 'in-our home' boarding. Again, anything agreed on within those time-frames being part of that service.
Food, toys, cleaning products, enclosures and any medication or supplements are to be provided by you.
((As birds can be used to specific cleaning products you use - we can use our own cleaning products, if agreed with yourselves))
**How do payments work?**
We will quote you a fee for the job prior to any confirmed booking. To make the booking we will ask you for a non-refundable 25% deposit for our 'in-home' boarding service, with the remainder to be paid prior to the commencement of our services. Fees for 'in-your home' visits are to be paid in full prior to the commencement of our services.
**Other charges**
Travel expenses:
We currently cover Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas. The travel expenses rate is based on services required that are located outside of a 5mile radius from our home address. This will be an accurate per mile fuel cost, and can be discussed prior to agreement.
We do not charge a travel fee for clients within a 5 mile radius of our home address.
