Saying goodbye to Harley, the spaniel, after completing his behaviour training package! 🐾

We've worked on managing his reactivity outside of the home on walks, as well as curbing his noise sensitivity in the house & garden.

Harley made amazing progress, and we couldn't be prouder of his journey. He worked so well in his final session that he ended up falling asleep 😂—well-deserved, buddy!

Today, we say goodbye to sweet Winnie, the poodle puppy, after completing her puppy training package! 🐩✨

We've spent time mastering puppy basics, loose lead walking, and recall so she’s all set for those amazing holidays with her family.

Over the past few weeks, we've focused on loose lead walking, recall, calm manners in the home, and all the basics to set Bailey up for success.

Welcome to Quay to Success Dog Training, Nico the Maltipoo! 🐾🎉

Nico is a little pocket rocket full of energy, and he’s here to learn some important puppy basics in our Puppy Package. We’ll be working on helping him stay calm at home—especially around the cats—and tackling a bit of reactivity towards other dogs on walks.

Saying goodbye is always the hardest part! 😢 Before I went on holiday, I sent off Tilly, the Labrador Wirehaired Pointer puppy, with so much pride and a little bit of a heavy heart.

Tilly has come such a long way with her lead walking skills and in her new home —she’s grown into a confident, well-mannered pup who’s a joy to walk with. I’m so proud of all the progress she’s made, and I know she’s going to continue to thrive with her new family.

I’m going to miss you lots, Tilly, but I’m so excited for all the adventures ahead for you and your family! 🐾💛

What a transformation! 🌟 Nala the Cockapoo wasn’t too keen on her crate when she came home at 10 weeks old, but after positive experiences and not rushing Nala, she’s now calm and enjoying her cozy space at 17 weeks! 🐾

Seeing Nala grow more comfortable with her crate has been so rewarding.
Crate training is a fantastic skill, especially in an apartment building. It gives Nala a safe and cozy space of her own, helps with house training, and minimizes stress when left alone. Plus, it keeps her out of trouble when her dad needs to go out and buy a pint or milk without worrying about her!

Super proud of you, Nala—keep thriving! 🐶🏠

Charlie loves exploring with his nose, but when it’s time to come back, he’s all ears! Watching him zoom back with such enthusiasm is a testament to his mum’s hard work and dedication to training. I love how much they’ve enjoyed training through games!

So incredibly proud of Kevin the German Wirehaired Pointer! 🐾🎉

Recently, Kevin joined the Coffee with Canines class with the rest of the group, and he handled it like a pro! As a reactive dog, this was a big step for him, and he showed amazing progress from when we started working together at the start of the year. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do—seeing dogs like Kevin grow in confidence and enjoy new experiences.

Keep it up, Kevin! You’re doing brilliantly, and I couldn’t be prouder. This was a huge goal for his mum & dad💪🐶

🌴✨ Important Update: Holiday Break Ahead! ✨🌴

Just a heads-up to all my wonderful clients—I’ll be taking a break from August 12th to September 2nd for a well-deserved holiday. During this time, I won’t be available for training sessions, but I’ll be back, refreshed, and ready to work with you and your pups from September 3rd! 🐾

If you have any questions or need to book sessions for when I return, feel free to reach out via email [email protected] whilst I'm away and I'll get back to you as soon as I can from 2nd September.

Teaching your dog to walk calmly on a loose lead can be challenging, but the key to success lies in mastering the art of distraction. 🐾

Dogs are naturally curious, and their environment is full of exciting sights, sounds, and smells. By using controlled distractions during training, you can teach your dog to focus on you rather than everything around them. Start with low-level distractions, like a toy or treat, and gradually increase the difficulty as your dog improves.

This method not only makes walks more enjoyable but also strengthens your bond with your dog, showing them that you're the most interesting thing around. Consistency and patience are key—happy training! 🎾🐶

Here is super sweet Nellie who has been learning that although she loves people & other dogs she can’t pull mum towards all the people & all the people on walks to say hello!

This week we said goodbye to Terrific Truffle the Toy poodle.
Truffle joined us for our 5 week Puppy Package to work on transitioning toilet training outsideo of the apartment, puppy basics & recall.

He absolutely aced it. I am going to miss the little cheeky chappy lots!

Beautiful 9 month old Tilly the Lab x Wirehaired Pointer has been working with me on her door manners and Lead Walking skills with her new mum and dad who rescued her a few months ago.
Adolescence has well and truly hit Tilly. She is super eager to get to the park as quickly as she can to see her new friends and have a good run around so we've been working on good things happening when she's close & able to focus to her humans.

😍 Let me introduce you to one of my best buds, business sidekicks, and teachers of important life lessons. 😍 This is Dylan the Maltese. If you're relatively new to my world, you may not have seen or heard much about him... yet. Dylan is my soul pet and plays a major role in my life. So you may see him sneak into my content from time to time and the inspiration for my Quay to Success logo. I thought it'd be fun if you knew a bit more about him. Let's start with a few likes and dislikes shall we. Likes... 🐶 Beef Chews. He even does the cutest little knock on the cupboard door to ask for a snacky snack! 🐶 Sleeping!... A LOT of sleeping! If you ever need him he'll be either snoozing on the bed, on the sofa or in his favourite corner by the window. 🐶 Sunshine... Just like his mum! He loves nothing more than going for a walk on a nice warm sunny day... Which is hard to come by sometimes in Manchester. Dislikes... 🐾 Face washes from Olivia! He thinks it's gross... Stop doing it Olivia - It's annoying! 🐾 Green Veggies! Nope.. not eating it... You can't trick me... it's gross... Yeah, that's right I did make a pile of it next to the dog bowl where I spat it out!...Where's the meaty snacks! 🐾 Dylan dislikes the rain. He refuses to leave the comfort of home. It has to be perfect Dylan weather for walkies. Dylan is the most hilarious, cheeky dog I have ever met. And I love every bit of him for it. He makes me laugh every day and the reason I started Quay to Success Dog Training. Next week I'll be introducing you all to Olivia the rescue pup!
