What a difference 3 years of love makes! 🥹

When we first met Ruby, she was painfully thin, eager to eat but unable to do so because of the excruciating pain in her mouth.

It was obvious she had been abandoned. We rushed her to the vet, where we discovered the heartbreaking cause of her pain: severe Stomato-Gingivitis.

Ruby’s mouth was one painful, open wound, likely caused by a calicivirus infection, making it nearly impossible for her to eat.

💛 Thankfully she had no other significant health issues. We immediately scheduled her for life-saving surgery, which went smoothly.

Just days after surgery, Ruby started eating comfortably again, a moment we’ll never forget!

She is now in foster care, where she’s healing and learning what it means to be safe and loved.

Her journey isn’t over, but we’re hopeful that she’ll find the forever family she truly deserves.

This brave girl survived a broken rib and a punctured lung - look at her now! 😱

We’re beyond thrilled to share some wonderful news about Gerda’s healing journey! 🐾💛

After suffering a serious injury, Gerda’s situation was critical. She could barely breathe, and we knew she needed urgent surgery to survive 💔

Thanks to life-saving surgery and expert medical care, we could provide because of your support, Gerda has made remarkable progress!

🥹 Her most recent check-up went better than we ever hoped! Her doctor is incredibly pleased with how well she’s healing. Every day, she’s growing stronger, feeling better, and showing us all what true resilience looks like.

She’s still taking it easy for now, but her spirits are high, and we couldn’t be more grateful for how far she’s come! 🐶💗

This lovely old boy was taken from the big shelter for his new photos today.

As you will see in the video I will add to the comments, he thoroughly enjoyed his free time out of his enclosure - let’s not let this be the last time he has some freedom and space to walk 🙏
Arno is around 11 years old and desperately needs a life line at his age.
He is 20kg, friendly with people and other dogs.

Little Cecilia is a six-month-old kitten who was left blind and alone on the streets of Romania.

We first spotted her while feeding stray cats in a residential area of Tulcea, Romania. She stood out because she seemed frightened, disoriented, and vulnerable. It didn’t take long to realize she was completely blind.

We knew she couldn’t survive on the streets, so we acted fast, but catching her wasn’t easy. After a week of patient effort, we finally gained her trust and brought her to safety.

During her medical check-up, we learned Cecilia’s challenges were even greater than we thought:

💔 Like many white cats, Cecilia is deaf in addition to being blind.

💔 She also tested positive for IVF, meaning she’s more vulnerable to infections.

Despite everything, Cecilia is incredibly sweet, loving, and trusting.

She’s currently on immune-boosting supplements while we prepare her for urgent eye surgery.

Cecilia is a fighter. She’s shown nothing but courage, and we’re committed to giving her the second chance she deserves.

Terra’s journey is one of survival, courage, and resilience ❤‍🩹

😥 Rescued from the war-torn region of Orikhiv, Ukraine, she arrived after enduring relentless shelling, injured, disoriented, and clinging to hope.

The military brought her to us to help her, but she was in critical condition: suffering from a severe concussion and an open wound on her right thigh that refused to heal 💔

Our team sprang into action and comprehensive tests were conducted to understand her condition and determine the best course of treatment.

🐶Thanks to dedicated care, her wound is finally healing, but Terra’s battle isn’t over. She’s also been diagnosed with allergic dermatitis and now needs a specialised hypoallergenic diet to aid her recovery.

Terra needs your help. Every donation helps provide Terra with:

❤️TOLEA❤️

Trying again for this poor old boy Tolea.
Tolea has been in the shelter for years 😞

My ROLDA colleague from Sweden, Lisa, recently visited the shelter and I asked her if she would take Tolea out and see how he is doing.
Lisa says Tolea is a nice boy, he is a little shy as he hasn’t had very much human company but he did enjoy having some love and allowed her to stroke him.
His legs are a little weak where he has spent so much time in his enclosure 😞
Tolea is neutered, and aged around 9.
We would love it we could find a nice quiet retirement home for him with a garden.

Either adoption or foster for this lovely boy.

He would need a home where he could just relax, where no expectations are placed upon him and where he could spend his remaining years in love and comfort.
