Our approach to animal casting is ethical which is why we have created our Vet on Set offering. This is a dedicated service providing qualified veterinary professionals or Registered Veterinary Nurses during productions involving animals.

Did you know this is a requirement for UK commercial shoots? Clearcast guidelines state that a vet or RVN must be present on set when filming with animals.

Not all best friends are cuddly on camera… but Jenga proves that appearances can be deceiving! In celebration of International Day of Friendship today, we’re spotlighting our incredible dog star Jenga, who recently appeared on ITV's Emmerdale in a dramatic scene alongside Dominic Brunt (Paddy Kirk).

On screen, viewers watched Paddy being attacked by a 'vicious dog' – but off screen, Jenga is completely under control and the epitome of man’s best friend: calm, loving and trustworthy.

Far from fierce, Jenga is actually one of the gentlest dogs on our books. A highly trained German Shepherd, Jenga takes part in Working Trials and has been carefully prepared for TV work and therefore ideal for high-pressure scenes, and the perfect casting choice for this Emmerdale storyline.
