A couple weeks ago Middleton Crafts & Food Market contacted us to say they were holding their fair to raise money for us in February. They raised a whopping £214 and a bag of supplies for our little rescue!

We would like to thank everyone who went down and supported them and us in their fundraising efforts ❤️

My rescuers work tirelessly to give me all I need but with no regular income they don’t know what’s coming each month! So they could do with some support knowing that if we could get our monthly subscriptions up to cover the vet bills per month there would be a lot less stress!

You may have saw the video the other day of the calico kittens. This is their mum jasmin, jasmin and her babies were a private surrender but Jasmin came into us EXTREMELY skinny. Now we’ve been trying to feed her up with urgent care, kitten felix, wiskas, amazons own, Sainsbury’s own everything I’ve got in stock but she just doesn’t want to eat. She’s been to the vets and is clinically well but we’ve found she likes wiskas lamb!! You can’t really tell on the pictures but you can feel her spine and hips 😭

We want to keep trying different foods for her to get her weight up she also likes royal canin kitten milk and catnip dreamies ❤️

We’re running through food trying to feed 17 kittens and 3 mums and we really need some help if you can help me feed these babies 💔

If you have any spare wiskas lamb or can donate us a box of kitten food anything we can try we will throw at her (not literally) ❤️

We’re also short on blue roll to clean the pens out with if anyone can help too ❤️

Ohh babiessss! Just another update on Chloe's babies! All are doing super well and weighing heavier than what they should at 9 days old! With their eyes now open they look like cute little bundles of joy

I’m going to be real with you here, yesterday I posted 3 times. The first one of our adorable 5 kittens playing, then about much needed votes for my giving circle then £2 Tuesday.

The video of the kittens had over 5,000 watches nearly 300 likes and so many comments.

The voting one had 25 likes and 8 comments.

The £2 Tuesday one had 29 likes and 10 comments.

I can’t explain to you the stresses of running a rescue. The want to please, the want to help and the need to keep saving lives.

I don’t want to sound ungrateful it’s the last thing I want to do. But something needs to change.

The ONLY reason I took in the mum and kittens was to help. I couldn’t leave them could I? BUT what I’m facing at the moment is although all the kittens will be reserved the same day they go up on the website the mum will be left behind. The older cat in the corner will be left behind and the older toms that have been with us months will be left behind.

I feel so sorry for the animals that are always over looked.

I know. Cost of living crisis is killing everyone off but it’s killing us off too. The increase in everything, the set backs and the horrible words against my rescue when all I do is try my best and I feel like I’m fighting a losing battle.

It’s upset me that the ones that need the homes the most are constantly getting over looked and we’re nearly in the middle of the month and I already don’t know how I’m going to pay my vet bill that’s sitting at over £1,700 at present plus everything else.

Yes the rescue is a business. It has business needs like staff, rates, insurances, tax to pay everything because we haven’t got charity status yet. We’re a CIC. Which is a community interest company. But. Our application has gone in for charity status. We will get there eventually it’s just so hard to do.

But for now I need help. I need help in giving these animals the best of futures and that can only happen with support and adoptions. It’s reality. It’s facts.

Hi!!

My names freckles! I’m a big chonk of a guy my rescuers say. I don’t believe them I’m just big b***d!

I was dumped at the vets claiming to be in an accident but I’m super fine! I’m just scared at the moment and if these servants didn’t take me I was at risk of being PTS. My servants have tried to contact the people on my chip and been round to the house but apparently no one wants me 😔💔

My servants here say that even though I’m beautiful they think I’ll be here a while as how can I trust humans after this? I definitely need someone to show me that not all humans are bad.

But since I’m going to be here a while, I’m gonna get all the food, toilet beads, blankets, toys and time and patience I could ever need! But it comes at a cost to the servants! So I was wondering since it’s Tuesday instead of getting your lunch time Starbucks could I have it? (Maybe not the coffee) but the pennies you’d spend on your Starbucks?

The humans say if you can and want to donate your £2 Tuesday they would be so grateful because although they’d like to see me in a home. I can stay as long as it takes! Yippee!!

Some of our longest residents echo and Elvis, Marvin and milo STILL haven’t found their forever. Is it because they’re not the favourite colours? Too old? Need a bit of work and people don’t want to put the time in? I feel like these cats that are always left behind always turn out to be the most rewarding cuddle bugs ever and you feel so proud of how far they come in just a few months when they can give you years of love and laughter!

Yesterday I got a message from beautiful violet’s mum saying that violet not only helps clean the streets of urmston with Love Urmston, but she found £5 whilst doing so!

Now violet is only 6 and she decided she wanted to donate it to the cats 😭❤️

Most children would be over joyed they could maybe buy some sweets or a new toy but violet chose to donate it to the animals and it really touched my heart ❤️

Violet I hope you see this, you are beautiful and so very kind I hope you spread your love to everyone around you and know that you are a wonderful person ❤️

A year ago today instead of helping cats give birth it was my turn!

You all were so patient with me whilst my team carried on working hard rescuing animals in the background and what turned from the hardest thing I’ve ever done to the happiest day of my life.

People always say to me ‘HOW do you run the rescue whilst having a young baby’ well I just do! I have an amazing support bubble around me who allow me to continue to run the rescue whilst having the best home life I could wish for!

Today is talias 1st birthday and wow has time gone quickly ❤️ her love for her 2 cats and 2 dogs at home and the ponies fills me with such hope that one day she’ll be assisting me on cat rescues and being my right wing woman ❤️

Here’s to the future of cat rescue and many more happy birthdays to celebrate ❤️

Cuteness overload!

We took in this beautiful girl Chloe from Avid’s Angels Cat Rescue last week. She was heavily pregnant and due to drop any day!

Well look what she did last night!! 5 beautiful babies all safely delivered and wow what a good mum she is! Her and babies are doing so so well we do have a runt which is considerably smaller than the others but we’re keeping a close eye on them all ❤️

Although these babies are super super cute Chloe shouldn’t have had to have gone through the trauma of labour and birth. Please get your cats neutered there is a huge cat crisis at the moment and it’s making rescue super hard on all rescues up and down the country.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED!!

I am on the call out for someone with experience in handling small animals and not afraid to get down and dirty with the runnings of our animal rescue! Applicants MUST be over the age of 18. We’re a team of over 53 volunteers and 3 staff so lots of people to have a good natter to whilst helping small and vulnerable animals at the same time ❤️

Please note these are regular shifts each week

Saturday 3-5

Please can you help misty? https://gofund.me/2c26f711 His surgery is tomorrow! A couple weeks ago we took in this boy who desperately needs double entropion surgery. We had to get multiple opinions on his eyes as they are so severely affected, entropion is where the eye lids turn inwards and the eyelashes brush on the eyeball itself. As you can imagine this is excruciatingly painful and vets recon he has lived with this all his life. Since being in our care he has been on endless amounts of painkillers, eye drops and eye lube keeping him as comfortable as possible until we could make a decision on how extensive his surgery needed to be due to him also having extremely long eye lids and the best course of action so he wouldn’t have to have another surgery in future. it is now costing approximately £580 not including his neutering so we’re probably looking at £750 including neutering and vaccinations microchip etc etc. w we need to give misty a better life and pain free so he can live his years out in comfort and happiness. please could you spare a £1 or £2 towards mistys life changing surgery? Floods

Another 7 horses brought to safety from willow farm with more on the way now. Some horses walked all the way from the willows and some are being loaded on to trailers kindly donated by the public. We will have roughly 23 horses by the end of tonight as there’s another weather warning for the weekend and better safe than sorry! We are happy we have managed to help so many owners and horses so far it is absolutely unbelievable the damage that has been caused to their yard and belongings 💔😩 If anyone has any rugs etc to donate the address is Carrington riding centre Isherwood road m314bh the horses only have the rugs on their backs everything else has been destroyed. Christmas fundraiser

***UPDATE!*** We actually had an extra £376!! So in total £1,783.27!!! Also! The gentleman from last night is home and recovering well for everyone who has asked me how he was! Speedy recovery Danny! ❤️ This is the only video I got of last night and I didn’t even take it! My daughter talia at just 9 months old joining in on the rescue shenanigans 😍 Too busy running round chatting to everyone and selling raffle tickets!! I would like to thank everyone who came and an unexpected early finish didn’t dampen the night and so pleased to announce we raised £1407.76p! It’s something I feel strongly about, I feel that fireworks should be kept to organised locations in remote areas away from houses and farm land. Fireworks cause a huge problem for animals and also veterans or people with ptsd or other related illnesses. Take a listen and give us your thoughts too!
