We had a lovely surprise visit from Ella and her mum and we just love how kind these guys are as well as all our lovely supporters on and off our socials!

Chloe my right hand woman is literally a god send to the rescue! She deals with all our animals on a daily, our clients, our volunteers, our stock control, our vet trips, our socials everything the rescue needs she does! As well as James and jade our lovely weekend staff so Chloe can have a break at some point!

I couldn’t do it without our volunteers either! The care and dedication we see from our volunteers whether it be cleaning out the units, loving and feeding and even collections and vet trips!

I have such a strong and powerful team behind me and I’m so grateful to my huge team over over 60 people and then all 12.6 thousand followers on here! It would simply be impossible without you all and I appreciate everything everyone does for me and the animals! Especially the unseen backbone of the rescue, our trustees and my family. My husband, my mum and stepdad and my second family within the centre and 2 friends out of the centre (yes I’m a hermit crab and have no friends) I simply couldn’t have started the rescue with out you. So thank you.

Remember Bellatrix aka Bubs, formerly known as Pizza (yes, Pizza) the tiny ca**l goblin we rescued in Eccles a couple years back? Well, she has officially decided she is the STAR of the Christmas tree this year. 🌟

Not beside it.
Not under it.
No no… INSIDE it. Like a sneaky festive ninja with zero respect for ornaments, gravity, or personal boundaries. 🎁🐈‍⬛

This is the same cat who sprints to the shower the second it turns on and insists her drinking water be served exclusively from the tap because apparently she’s a Victorian chimney sweep with expensive taste. 🚿💦

Her owners have politely requested a refund multiple times.
And once again, I’d like to formally state:
❌ Refunds are NOT available.
❌ Store credit is NOT available.
❌ Exchange for a less chaotic model is DEFINITELY not available.

Congratulations, you are the proud lifelong servants of a damp, tree-dwelling diva. 🎄👑

Carrington Animal Rescue is now officially a CHARITY! 🎉🎉
(Yes, we’re just as shocked as you are. The animals would like to thank the academy.)

But remember that old account we had with The Co-operative Bank?
Well… it’s about to be closed down forever. Vanished. Deleted. Sent to the great banking rainbow bridge in the sky. 🌈🏦

Which means:

Sorry for being quiet guys!

Yesterday I was hit with what I think was norovirus and couldn’t move out of bed without a sick bucket 🤢 luckily today I’m feeling much better!

Quick update for the week!

First one is that CANDY AND REVEL HAVE FINALLY BEEN RESERVED!! I cried when I got the message this morning off my colleague James ❤️

THEN Hank the tank, Wolf, Pusskin (FIV lad), Marley and Ace have all had confirmations of their pick up dates to go to their new homes before Christmas 🥹🥹🥹

THEN Rogerina is doing so so well recovering beautifully and will have her check up on Monday and have her purse string removed and vaccine course started (maybe, we will get her better before we start adding vaccines)

BUT the time is closing in to where we stop adoptions. Most rescues take the same stance so people don’t get an animal for Christmas and we have done this for the last 6 years. So our last and final day for adoptions of 2025 will be the 14th of December 🥲 we want to see majority if not ALL our animals in homes before then (suitably obviously) so when I’m back in on Monday I will update the website with who we have available. Please if you’re considering to adopt please do get in touch and I can see if we have anyone suitable in the mean time ❤️

!!!Please Help Me Save Baby Rogerina!!!

At the end of October, tiny Rogerina came into my life in the most heartbreaking way she was facing being put to sleep at only four months old because of a severe a**l prolapse. I couldn’t stand the thought of her life ending before it even began, so I took her in, hoping I could give her a chance.

We tried everything we could. After her first prolapse, she had a purse-string suture placed, and for a little while, we dared to hope she’d be okay. But a month later, it happened again… and this time, it was even worse.

Today, she needed an urgent, major surgery to save her. Her intestines had to be internally tacked to prevent future prolapses an expensive, complex procedure that absolutely couldn’t wait. To give her the best chance and limit how many times she has to go under anaesthetic, she’s also being spayed during the same operation.

I wish I could say I was prepared for this, but I’m not.
I’m just a one-man band with fundraising all on my own it’s so mentally draining and I’m constantly in a state of anxiety not being able to pay out bills. We already struggle to cover the normal bills… let alone something this sudden, this urgent, and this costly.

But what was I supposed to do? She’s just a baby. She wants to play, to love, to grow. She deserves the chance to live.

That’s why I’m asking truly, humbly asking for help.

Every single donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference right now.
This wasn’t planned. This wasn’t budgeted. This was a life-or-death emergency for a tiny soul who’s fighting so hard to stay here.

If you can help me save Rogerina, I will be forever grateful. She has already endured more than any little one should, and she’s still trying. She still has so much life left to live.

🚨 We Need Your Help! 🚨

Oh. My. Goodness.

Dunelm in Trafford park… you absolute LEGENDS.

Dunelm kindly had us down as a charity to support for their deliver joy campaign and today we went to collect!

I can’t thank Dunelm and everyone who took a ticket off their tree and bought us a gift! From cat food to guinea pig food to washing powder and bin bags EVERYTHING which was so much needed! Plus a few sneaky treats for us humans as well thank you! It’s rare the humans get gifts but when we do it means so so much 🥰

Thank you again to everyone really appreciated in such a difficult time ❤️

This is what safety looks like.

From the streets pregnant, to a nice warm bed with food love and care within not even 12 hours this baby that was brought in pregnant and no home to finally feeling safe enough to give birth to her babies.

Cats will hold babies as long as they can until they find somewhere they feel safe to have their babies and little miss has done such a fantastic job.

But this is the reality, imagine if she would have had them last night under a bush? They would have froze to death.

PLEASE NEUTER YOUR CATS. FOR THEIR SAKE.

STRAY FEMALE

Not chipped, not neutered as heavily pregnant straying Eccles, Pembroke ave area.

Poor girl has been in this weather whilst heavily pregnant. Only a baby herself. Evidently had a litter before too, paper collared and door knocked no known owner if she’s yours proof of ownership required.
