VOLUNTEERS WANTED!!

I am on the call out for someone with experience in handling small animals and not afraid to get down and dirty with the runnings of our animal rescue! Applicants MUST be over the age of 18. We’re a team of over 50 volunteers and 3 staff so lots of people to have a good natter to whilst helping small and vulnerable animals at the same time ❤️

Please note these are regular shifts each week

The times and days are:

Monday 4-6
Wednesday 4-6
Thursday 4-6
Friday 4-6

Please note we only need one person for each of these shifts, we will invite you for an induction/trial before volunteering starts!

I’ve had one of those weeks from hell.

Most of you will know my background but I’ve lived on the farm since I was 6 years old, growing up watching, adoring and caring for them all my life.

My love for animals really started with the horses, so elegant yet so bloody fragile. To the point noises can literally kill them from colic. Anywho, today we lost a legend. He wasn’t my biggest fan as he always associated me as being the person to fit his saddle or to help him when he had a boo-boo, he didn’t like men either, possibly abuse in his past? We don’t know. But deep down under all the sassyness and no can do attitude you were a legend you taught so many to ride and so many to love.

I’m posting this because you never know what every day holds. Hold your baby’s close whether it be fur or the human kind. Give them the extra treat and the extra cuddle you won’t regret it. He had such a wonderful home to go to to retire to and live his life full of pamper and grass but his time was called upon before he got the chance. I’m so gutted, upset and mentally drained. I’m sure everyone knows how hard it is to send an animal over the rainbow but when it’s your job to help animals you see it much more often than the normal animal owner.

I can only console myself and my colleagues in the fact he’s no longer in pain and will be annoying people up in the clouds like he was down here 💔

💥🎉💥🎉DARTH HAS BEEN RESERVED!!🎉💥🎉💥ATTENTION PLEASE!!!

I feel like I’m looking for the impossible. Some of you may remember darth, he came in with his brother and they were rehomed together. After a lot of perseverance darth simply told his adopter he’d had enough of sharing his space with another cat.

Darth now needs a home of his own WITH NO OTHER ANIMALS!

Darth is a 10 year old bengal so needs to be an indoor cat or with a secure garden or catio.

Darth is a very special boy and so cuddly he also chats a lot and is super friendly he can live with children who are cat savvy.

It seems to be impossible to rehome an older cat now a days especially when they’re black and it’s so sad 😭

💥💥DESPERATE PLEA FOR HELP PLEASE!!!💥💥

An hour ago we were brought 13 cats, yes 13 all in dire need of help.

8 out of the 13 have really bad flu symptoms sneezing, eyes weeping etc this is a cry for help to help me fix them please.

I didn’t expect or budget for any poorly cats today and usually when we have ill or poorly cats coming in I can prepare myself and to roughly gauge how much each cat or kitten is going to cost but we didn’t expect this today.

I also couldn’t say no to them all 💔

Please can anyone help with a pound or two? We’re also super short on advantage flea and droncit/dronspot wormer for them all. We also use advocate too.

They are all so friendly and a real mix range of ages and sexes but they’re all not spayed/neutered which for 13 cats is going to cost £1,300 just alone for their spaying/neuterings never mind the treatments for worms fleas chips and medication probably antibiotics anti inflammatory luckily we have some biosolvan to help with the congestion.

Please please can anyone help me with just a pound or two or anything to help me help these babies when we get to the vets tomorrow with them all?

We really appreciate any help at all 😩❤️

Our names are wanda and luna!

We really really want a home 💔 we’ve been here ages now and not one interest in us 💔

I don’t know why because we’re actually really lovely if we do say so ourselves ❤️

Me, wanda had a bit of flea dermatitis when I first arrived but now my fur is growing back so beautifully I just need regular flea treatments so it doesn’t happen again! The humans say this is normal practice any who!

We both can’t make babies any more as we’ve both had a few litters but not no more!! We have the chip things in our necks and we have no creepers or wriggleys!

We’re only young approximately 3 years old I can’t remember when our birthdays are!!

We love to run and play and give good chin tickles with our wiskeys!!

Please we just want to go home on a couch to call our own ❤️

HELLO!!!

My names ember! I feel like I’ve been here for ever… I’ve not had one person look at me 💔

My rescue humans say it’s because I’m a little nervy and I’m black, something to do with people not wanting black cats. But I don’t get it because I know that black cats are THE best!!

I’m only about 1/2years old and I’ve already had babies but I can’t have anymore and I just want a couch to curl up on!!!

I do like a chin tickle but fast movements do scare me a little bit I think once I’m used to it I’m going to be so much more confident if someone could just help me!!

Please I just want to go home. Could you help me? Please?

Hello! My names Ziggy!

I'm a lovely little girl who's ready to curl up on your couch! I do like my food and I love to chillax and watch the world go by! I have lived inside for majority of my life and I would prefer to be the only cat in your world! I'm only 3 years old and ive had a few couches in my life already I just want one more forever!

I must say, I will be the best companion to someone who will let me sniff them first! Quick movements do upset me but im okay I promise just a scaredy cat!

I'm getting something done to the thing in side me where makes the babies soon the humans here won't tell me what but they said it means I won't be able to have babies and ive had that needle in my neck they said that this will let people know who owns me... I don't have creepy crawlies or the wiggly worms in my tummy!

Please could you give me a home? I really want a cuddle :(

Last week I was interviewed by luci about my opinion on fireworks and animals.

It’s something I feel strongly about, I feel that fireworks should be kept to organised locations in remote areas away from houses and farm land.

Fireworks cause a huge problem for animals and also veterans or people with ptsd or other related illnesses.

What a 48 hours it’s been 💔

Monday I got a voice mail about a mum and 4 babies under a shed in Partington. Knowing what the weather was like I couldn’t not help.

But they were terrified, freezing, shaking with fear and so so so hungry. Poor mum is emaciated, so we put a plan together. We have two traps and 4 people what are we gonna do?

Well get them! And that’s exactly what we did! It took 48 hours to secure all 5 cats, now the question is are they owned?

Not chipped, obviously not neutered and so skinny it’s unreal. A couple years ago we had a very similar situation in partington of a mum with 4 babies EXACTLY the same colours. Are these from the same family? We don’t know… mums roughly 9 months old and god knows how many litters she’s had 💔

I’m so sick of people not neutering their cats or just leaving them behind to cause more problems. Not only for the cats themselves but what about when the babies grow up and reproduce? It turns into colony’s of hundreds pretty quickly. It’s a joke.

These babies now need all the love and care they’ll ever know they’re a little sassy but only because they’ve never known love. Well they’re gonna get that now! Mum gives the littlest of head boops but then quickly retreats she so wants to trust but has been so let down.

We’re going to need a little help with the vet bills for these all need a good check over tomorrow at the vets and possibly some medication as they may have a touch of flu.

Please could you help me with their bill? I’m estimating around £200 plus the spays/neuters chips flea worm etc etc.

Our mummy got reserved before us which never happens, and all the other cuter fluffier more desirable kittens are getting picked before us 😞 We've been here since JUNE!!!

We just need some time to relax and chill out before we have cuddles, before we came to this place we didn't know what humans were! Scary things! I promise though we don't bite!! We just need time please ❤

Wow billie you definitely surprised us this morning!

Billie came to us last week evidently pregnant and quite far gone. It was our job to keep her safe warm and fed but we didn’t expect her to drop this soon!

All babies are a very healthy weight 4 absolute beauties ❤️

Even though we’re super happy they’re healthy etc billie should not of been pregnant in the first place. This will be her last litter, no more suffering for her.

Please please get your cats neutered rescues are absolutely bursting at the moment and we really don’t need to add to the population when there’s already so many sleeping rough and starving to death.

Our latest crazy potato!

Hewwo!! My names Felicia and my rescuers say they need 250 more votes to get back into 9th place!! I weeallllyyy like this place becus they feed me the tastiest of tweats but my rescuers sayz that I’ll need sum vet twips so I can’t make any babez when I’m older! Dumped kittens and mum

THIS IS NOT OKAY!! ANOTHER litter DUMPED in Trafford!!! Unfortunately we don’t know exactly where as they have come from our vets where a guy took them in this morning after finding them. This is just ridiculous I have 16 more cats coming in on the 16th and 2 on the 17th and I currently have ONE pod free. I don’t know what I’m going to do. It’s like rescues are just expected to pick up the pieces I’ve had phone call after phone call the past 2 days asking to take in over 20 cats. How am I supposed to take more in when I have no room? No funds and the heart ache it’s causing is unreal because I just can’t save them all. These babies are not chipped, covered in fleas and worms and they absolutely STINK. But they’re safe. They’ll have time to decompress before we start to figure sexes etc and their best interest are now in our hands. PROOF OF OWNERSHIP REQUIRED. PLEASE NEUTER YOUR CATS!!!!!!! Nicole 💔

Oh my goodness! Harold went to his new home a few weeks ago and look how happy he is playing with his new friends! You may remember Harold with his tail amputated it’s healed beautifully and even though he now has a stump he’s just as beautiful as before ❤️ Live a beautiful happy life Harold! ❤️
