💕 Candy & Revel – Two Special Girls Looking for Their Forever Calm 🏡

Meet Candy and Revel, two beautiful bonded girls who’ve come such a long way since their days living on the streets. When they first arrived, they didn’t know what it meant to be loved — every touch, every kind word was new to them.

Revel quickly showed her sweet side; she’s a gentle soul who absolutely loves affection once she trusts you. Candy is a little more reserved, happy to take things at her own pace, but she’s never unkind — just a thoughtful little lady who likes to watch before joining in. Together, they balance each other perfectly. 💞

These girls were adopted a few months ago, but sadly had to come back to us when Revel developed stress-induced cystitis (IFC). It’s not caused by infection or bacteria — it’s simply her body’s way of saying she’s feeling overwhelmed. With a calm, settled home and occasional anti-inflammatories if needed, she’s completely fine and comfortable.

Because stress can trigger Revel’s condition, we’re looking for a quiet, peaceful home with no other pets and no young children — a place where these two can finally relax and feel safe for good.

Candy and Revel are inseparable — they groom each other, cuddle together, and give each other courage. They’ve both been through so much and truly deserve a second chance at the gentle, loving life they’ve been waiting for.

If you have a calm home and a big heart, please consider opening it to these two amazing girls. They may be shy at first, but the love you’ll earn from them will be so special. 💗🐾

💔 The Highs and the Lows 💔

Recently we’ve had so many highs incredible progress, growth, and moments that make everything feel worthwhile. But with every high, there are still the lows… and these little babies’ story is a reminder of that.

About a month ago, our amazing friends at Kitty Rescue Bury reached out after being notified about a tiny family just moments away from being crushed.
These babies and their mum were living in the bush pile you can see in the video and in the back right, you’ll spot what they were about to be crushed with. 💔

By sheer luck, the workers spotted movement just before picking up the mound. Imagine what would’ve happened if they hadn’t seen them. It breaks my heart to think how close they came to unimaginable suffering.

Today, we finally managed to make space to bring them in. It’s been hard recently between all the upgrades, moves, and endless work behind the scenes but now we’re back in full flow. Over 10 cats are coming in between today and tomorrow. 🐾

Taking in just four cats like this afternoon comes at a minimum cost of over £800 to the rescue just for vaccinations, microchips, flea and worm treatments, and spays/neuters.
But here’s the thing… if mum had just been spayed before she had her babies, it could have prevented all this potential suffering and saved over £600.
I bet not many people have £800 lying around for an unexpected litter, do they? So it’s us that will find this now. It’s always us!
Some might say “that’s what you’re here for” and in some ways, they’re right but we rely on so, so many people to make that possible… our incredible volunteers, supporters, and those who donate, even a little, to keep us going. 💕

Working through the waiting list is never easy. Who needs space the most? Who’s most at risk? Who’s going to be left out there like a piece of rubbish if I can’t make room? These are the questions that keep me up at night.

It’s in our hands mine and my team’s to save as many as we can, to care for and rehabilitate these babies who should never have been in this situation in the first place.

Thank you to everyone who supports us because without you, stories like this could have had a very different ending.

This grant round is for even more money, and now that we’re right at the start, we’ve got a real chance of getting into the top 3 imagine if we made it to 1st place?! That’s £5,000!! 🥳

That kind of money would probably cover our December vet bill, which is always our toughest month. Christmas time means we pause adoptions to make sure no animals are given as “presents,” so we rely even more on your amazing support ❤️

OH MY GOODNESS!

A couple of our babies who got adopted last weekend ❤️😍

Ed Sheeran and Kylie Minogue well and truly settled in within a couple of days and you can feel the sibling love we would like to thank Jonny and Anna for giving them the best home! ❤️

We absolutely love it when siblings/mums and babies stay together it’s so wholesome ❤️ and what’s one more if you already have a kitty at home! ❤️

We think that pairs are better than singles and every cat deserves the chance to have a friend unless maybe they like being the only kings/queens of the house!

I bet not many people know what this is…

This is £5,000 worth of kit that we got for just £380!!!

A 5 hour round trip to derby to collect ‘Sheila’ who now provides the cleanest, purest, germ free air in the whole of Carrington! With our new air circulation system plus this HEPA filter system I can go to sleep knowing that no illnesses is going to have the capability of being spread!

We love investing in the interest of our present and future animals welfare!

Huge thank you to Scott for finding Sheila and helping me grab her 😂 and maybe being the master designer behind the whole project! I say maybe so his head doesn’t get bigger 😉 😂

Thank you so much to everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday and sent the puddy tats a birthday donation! 🐾💜

Definitely on the wrong side of twenty now, haha! It’s wild to think I started the rescue when I was just 21, right before Covid hit. I’ve had to learn so much over the years—it’s been a crazy ride, but I feel so privileged to be supported by so many amazing people, many of whom I’ve never even met!

Here’s to many more years. In the midst of everything happening in the world, in our country, and even in our hometown, I truly believe that if we all stick together and support one another, this place we call home will be so much brighter. 💕
