With the snow and ice expected, the roads may well be gritted. If you walk your Dog on gritted roads/paths please make sure that their paws are washed either by walking them through a few puddles away from the gritted surfaces or by dipping their feet in fresh water once at home.
‼️ Every year hundreds of pets throughout the country become seriously ill and in some cases die because of the rock salt and antifreeze being used during the cold snap. Dogs and Cats walk through the substances left by gritters trying to clear roads and car drivers defrosting their windscreens and then licking them off their paws.
‼️ Consuming rock salt can cause dehydration, liver failure and pancreatitis, while antifreeze contains the chemical ethylene glycol, which can be lethal when ingested.

Sleep tight sweet,sweet Holly.I am gonna miss you so much-you were an Angel Dog🐾🐶👼❤
I cant tell you how hard it was to do this post,my heart is broken and i only just groomed her on Satutday.
When i received the message today i was in the middle of morrisons and i just burst out crying.Its never easy losing one of your dogs,they become like our own to us groomers and its the worst and hardest part of the job and the saddest and we feel their loss so deeply.
Holly was a super special girl who was 18 years old and i had become so fond of her and her elderly owner.
Holly stole my heart and soul-the tiniest cairn terrier,who had severe joint displacement and various issues but who was so courageous,brave and loving.
Im am so devastated but i know she is out of pain now.
Holly died peacefully in her owners lap with her owners best friend and carer who is like a daughter to her by her side.
Run free my Angel girl ❤🐾🌈
