It looks like today is set to be a scorcher so hot weather procedures apply. Walks may well be shortened or cancelled entirely in favour of garden visits. This is for your dogs welfare only. The last thing anyone wants is for their dog to become poorly due to overheating.
Any concerns give me a shout.

Ashton central on a Saturday 2 weeks before Xmas. Deader than the proverbial Dodo. Feel really sorry for the market traders & independent shops. Half the market stalls & kiosks are vacant. Tameside Council you have absolutely ruined the “main” town in Tameside with your ludicrous parking charges & complete disregard for small businesses. Shame on you.

Walks in the woods will be put on hold while the wind is this strong. There’s still a lot of leaves on the trees & I wouldn’t be surprised to see branches, if not whole trees, come down today.

Can’t quite believe I’m say it this late in the year but as of now & probably up to when I finish Thursday afternoon my hot weather rules are going to apply. It’s currently 25 degrees & baking as well as being really quite muggy.
I will walk in shaded area where safe & possible but if it’s too warm or your dogs are getting too hot walks may well be cut short or even cancelled in favour of garden visits.
As ever this is for the health & wellbeing of your dogs.
Any concerns please give me a shout .

Side note. Canine First Aid Workshops - UK - Rachel Bean RVN runs excellent, in person Canine First Aid courses. Well worth it for professional lane & owners alike.

Just a heads up folks…
Obviously it has gone very very warm so as per usual if it’s too warm over the next few days walks may be shortened or terminated entirely in favour of garden visits. As ever this is for the well-being & safety of your dogs. The last thing I want is for any dog to get overheated & become poorly.

IMPORTANT.
It seems that Parvovirus is in transmission Stalybridge, Mossley, Greenfield & it’s entirely possible we will see it in Tameside. If your dog shows any sign of illness I need to know. Please familiarise yourself with the symptoms.
