Why do cats like their food and water bowls separate? It’s a survival instinct!

In the wild, cats wouldn't drink where they ate, as their prey could contaminate the water. Instead, they would seek out fresh water sources further afield. It's a behaviour still hardwired in our pampered house cats today! 💧 🥣

Some of our lovely supporters are raising funds for our Centre by taking part in the Peak District Abseil challenge! 😸

This Sunday, they will take on the exhilarating 75 foot drop down the side of the legendary Monsal bridge. Please join us in wishing them the best of luck with their fundraising efforts. On Sunday 28th September we'll be at the Millers Dale Bridge from 9.30am, with our wonderful participants who will be dropping 75ft off of this gorgeous, historic landmark. Waffles is a proper rescue cat. He came into our care in a bit of a sorry state, having being potentially in an RTC, he had to have had his jaw wired and repaired. As you can imagine, this meant he was very nervous at first but, as his wounds have healed and our staff have spent time with him, he's starting to show his soft side, loving gentle head tickles and weaving around our legs. Waffles would love a new start in a quieter home where he can continue to blossom with someone willing to give him time and space to do so.

Thank you to everyone who came to our Summer Open Day yesterday! Thanks to your amazing support we raised an incredible £1909.38, as well as reserving 10 cats and kittens to go to new homes!

Past participants have described the views as gorgeous and they felt they could "take on the world" after finishing. Start off scared but come out with the heart of a lion 🦁💪

It's just £20 to sign up and the sponsorship target is £50. The money you raise will support cats and kittens in your local area, as you can choose exactly which branch or Centre will receive your sponsorship.
