Love days like today, customer had been buying her dog food online cause she thought it was cheaper.
Popped in for some flea stuff today and found out we sell her food for £51.99!!!
That's £14.50 a bag cheaper than she's been paying. Over the year that's £174.00 she could of saved shopping locally and supporting a local business!!! 😮😮😮😮
We did have a little laugh about it and safe to say she felt a little stupid and apologised and promised to shop with us in future.
But makes me wonder how many other people do the same out of convenience, laziness (I hold my hands up I've been one of them in the past) or just don't think.
Whether it be Pet Shop, card shop, butchers, florist, bric a brac, book shop, toy shop, sweet shop or whatever. We really need to start taking a minute and making the effort to shop locally and support our local businesses otherwise they won't be around very much longer.
I know you can't get everything you want in town these days but all we ask is you try first, send them a Facebook message, ring them up or pop in for a chat.
We have some great independent businesses in town all run by local people who share our community and in turn shop locally and support other local businesses keeping 'the money in the pot' as it were.
The more we shop on Amazon the more yachts Bezos buys and that doesn't put anything back into our local community or country as it comes to it with how little tax they apparently pay!!!
There's a post I've seen somewhere that says if everyone spent just £5 locally that would put x amount of thousands back into the local community. Just WOW, we could do that surely!!
Doesn't take alot to make a big difference.
Please shop locally, We need you!!!! ❤❤❤
