I hope you’ve enjoyed your time off, I’m sure a lot of you are back at work already.
If you are going to be buying/adopting a reptile this year please be sure to..
Do your research,
Have your tank FULLY set up,
Have your tank running to check it all works (for at least 48-72 hours),
Find an exotic vet and register with them,
Be sure to know where you are purchasing your food and have a back up shop you can buy from.
You should be doing all of this BEFORE you bring home your new scalebaby.
So many posts on fb about people getting animals and asking for ‘tips’ when the tank and husbandry are already completely wrong and the poor animal is now the one to suffer until it’s fixed.
You wouldn’t buy a dog before getting collar, lead, bowls, beds.. so why is it okay for us to do it reptiles?
If you need any help on choosing your enclosure, heating and lighting equipment, husbandry etc.
Please do not hesitate to contact me, no question is a stupid one, we were all new to this once 🙂
