We are bringing the new year in with a big surprise! 🎇🥂

Welcoming 'Star' to our team here at Ashford. He's a dark red small and compact working cocker spaniel. We feel quite lucky to have the opportunity to gain this boy in our kennels from a friend! Star will now be up for stud with us, also he will be producing our quality cockerdor crossbreed here aswell as full bred working cocker spaniels. His most recent litter of 15 bred with us just says it all. He certainly lives up to his name. He's a mature boy at 8 years young, but producing quality and healthy strong offspring.

We would like to wish our Ashford family and friends a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year 2025. 🎇 We are excited to see what this year brings, it's the year that we are renewing our Five Star license, so it will be all systems go here over the next couple of months, ensuring everything is well over the standards! Wish us luck! 🥂🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A huge thankyou for all of the support over the years, we strive to ensure we are breeding for health and temperament- that we certainly achieve with happy families and dogs!

Another thankyou to our regular clients who use our K9 Fertility Clinic, you guys keep me going on a daily basis with the best form of human interaction!

Our dogs have done us tremendously proud this year, we have had many changes, we have moved slightly from the working gundog world into our smaller breed girls. We still breed our cockerdors but now breed our cavaliers, cavapoos, poodles and very excitingly have our new homebred champion sired bichon 'Reggie' to run on over the next year. I have high hopes for this boy!🏆🎖

It's all very exciting, we have made changes throughout for the better and simply want to cheers everyone for the coming New Year, let's see what this year brings! 🥂🐾

Our lovely girl Lottie has come into season and been on a few dates with the wonderful 'Star' this week- so we have high hopes for a lovely litter of cockerdors due in 9 weeks time!

These will range from light yellows all the way through to fox reds which will be lovely! The best of both worlds 🥰🐾

After some rest from yesterday...i can finally announce- Elsie our lovely girl gave birth to 7 beautiful red cavapoo babies. At least we have had Christmas day off this year, last year she had 8 full poodle babies born on Christmas day! 🤣🫶
This is Elsies second litter- she's naturally a fabulous mommy! Well done to our girl for producing such quality babies. 🏆🐾🐶

🐾 We are blessed to have bred these boys from a Crufts show champion stud boy and gosh can't you tell! 🐾

We are keeping one of the boys to hopefully mature into a future stud boy as there isnt this type of quality KC registered bichon around the area. We travelled 2 hours to Northampton to get this wonderful breed line and we are pleased with what our beautiful dottie produced. 🏆🙏

Yesterday was a busy one.. after a 7 hour round trip we came back with two beautiful new additions, everyone meet Lola (Left) and Lady (Right) full sisters! They are KC registered Ruby cavalier king Charles spaniels.
They are doing fabulous and have settled in so quickly, a new Welsh line for us to carry on with too 😍🐾

Info for those waiting- we are awaiting our cavalier girls to come into season so we will have hopeful full cavaliers here in a few months time. Waiting lists are open.

We had another very busy viewing day for our fox red cockerdor litter yesterday! It was wonderful meeting all of our lovely families.

Its been a very long weekend, but it was so worth seeing all of our happy families!

Here's a snap of our 3 little girls who havent been snapped up just yet! We didnt get quite enough time to get a snap of our handsome boys available. Perfect little puddings!

Its very sad news seeing Fellgroom/Sarah moving forward with her other career 😢

I want to wish Sarah all the very best luck in the future, to enjoy her time with family and to thank her for working closely with me over the years. She is likewise- the only other breeder I would strongly recommend.

We have both specialised in the cockerdor breeding for quite a long time now and am grateful to have met Sarah early in my 13 year journey so far.

🐾COCKERDORS ARE HERE🐾 Welcoming Jennies fox red cockerdor litter everyone! 🫶💪 This has undoubtedly been the hardest time in my whole career of breeding, a full 24 hours of labour, no sleep and an outstanding 15 puppies later! Our biggest litter in 13 years! I am still processing the huge litter we have, feeling very emotional- possibly to do with the lack of sleep also, but my gosh being proud is an absolute understatement. 🏅🏆 Jennie is well, very tired but has taken it all in her stride. Now the harder work starts to rear all 15 puppies. I have my fingers crossed 🤞🐶 I have contacted my waiting list very briefly with the news but recovery and priority is to ensure our litter and Jennie are thriving. I'll be in touch more over the coming week. A huge shout out to Star, a friends stud boy for producing this quality litter. Absolutely amazed to announce our girl 'Nutmeg' blessed us with a HUGE litter of 12 cockerdor puppies in a record time of 2 and a half hours this afternoon! Shes smashed it like a pro being her first litter! We have had a lovely split litter of 6 bitches and 6 dogs. It's our biggest litter to date, also this is sox's last litter as he's now retired. What a grand legacy to leave behind being his final litter! I couldnt be anymore proud of team Ashford!
