Food glorious food….Manners around tables.
The upcoming festive period is a busy time and we love nothing more than taking our dogs to places with us. Human food can be a massive motivation for some dogs and if food is left unattended then some dogs won’t think twice. Once something has been taken this can then reinforce the dog to potentially repeat the behaviour again and again.

Asking a dog to Sit/Wait can build good impulse control especially when we take our dogs out to coffee shops, resturants, friends houses etc.
Keeping a dog on lead if you visting friends/family can ensure that the dog isnt in another room helping itself.
Not leaving a dog unattended when food is around. Even the best trained dogs may surprise you.
Many foods over the festive period are very toxic and if ingested will probably mean a trip to the vets. Who wants that on Christmas day, or on any other day ?
