The Pet Aunty

The Pet Aunty As much as we all like to be there 24 hours a day for our beloved pets unfortunately that is not always an option so I'm here to fill in the gaps.
(18)

Dog Boarding licence number: AW021 My name is Natalie and I have lived in Market Harborough for over 20 years. Ever since I was a small child I have had a natural affinity with animals whether big or small, cat or snake. I used to spend my holidays as a child on a farm where I helped to maintain housing, feeding, grooming and the birthing of all the different animals. I also volunteered at Leicest

ershire Wildlife Hospital for 3 years where I was known as The Hedgehog lady. I have my CRB check following over ten years in the childcare sector. As much as I enjoyed my time at Nursery my heart has always belonged to animals. I have spent many years looking after family and friends pets and have become very close to them all. I personally have a cat, a snake and a chameleon. Sadly over the years I have lost a dog, cats, rats, mice, ferrets and rabbits. Although this made me very sad it has made my love of all animals even stronger. As a result I have decided to start this business to offer my care and knowledge to everyone. If you are unable to be there 24 hours a day let me come and be your pets aunty. I can do all the fun, messy and practical things that Aunts enjoy doing with their nieces and nephews. After all, pets are family too. As well as dog walking I will also be providing in-house animal sitting for all pets - even spiders, I will happily feed them but will be unable to hold them due to a fear of them haha. This includes feeding your pets up to twice a day and staying with them for half an hour to play with them, change bedding etc. This includes outside pets such as guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens and ducks. All of the animals in the photos on my website are pets that I have had the honour of looking after over the past several years. When joining my expanding family I will visit each of you at home and go through the enrolment form to gather as much information about your beloved pet as possible. I have Liability Insurance to help put your mind at ease knowing that your family member will be well taken care of with no hidden surprises. The area I will be covering for now is Market Harborough, Lubenham, Great Bowden and Little Bowden. My dog boarding licence number is AW021.

The rescue that Sookie, Seb, Tink and Wade came from has posted this lovely doggie ice cream treat. I guess Alex has some extra items on her shopping list this weekend. Feel free to look at the rest of their page and see the wonderful work that they do. They also recently posted their August Sponsorship List if you wanted to add your names to the list 😊

DOG ICE CREAM

INGREDIENTS:

2 ripe bananas
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup peanut butter (unsweetened and xylitol-free)
1/4 cup water

INSTRUCTIONS:

In a blender or food processor, combine bananas, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and water.

Blend until smooth and creamy.

Pour the mixture into ice cube trays or silicone molds.

Freeze for at least 2 hours or until solid.
Pop out the ice cream cubes and serve to your dog as a treat.

NOTE:

Ensure the peanut butter is free of xylitol, as it is toxic to dogs.

You can substitute Greek yogurt with a dairy-free yogurt if your dog is lactose intolerant.

Prep Time: 10 mins | Freezing Time: 2 hrs

Total Time: 2 hrs 10 mins | Servings: 12-15 treats

⭐️⭐️Home needed⭐️⭐️

We take in a lot of animals here at The Pet Aunty, but we now have one to rehome ourselves. This handsome man is a cross between a cayuga duck and a runner duck. We currently have 2 boys and a girl and this young man is being bullied. They were taken in before we knew the genders of them and it seems they are a little competetive. Is there anyone that would be interested in taking on this gorgeous boy? 🦆

Despite changes to the RCVS Code of Conduct dogs/cats can still legally be euthanised without being scanned. In non-emergencies, we want vets to be legally required to scan microchips prior to euthanasia for RBU and confirm the person presenting the animal is registered on the microchip.

Did you know:
If you have a pacemaker, you can put it in your Will to have your pacemaker donated to a dog in need after you pass. Pacemakers cannot be donated to another human, but they can be donated to dogs with cardiac issues who would depend on it to stay alive.
You can have the pacemaker brought to a vet of your choice. So many of those get thrown away and dogs die because people don't know they can do this. It even saves the dog's owner the cost of the actual pacemaker which sometimes means the difference in being able to afford lifesaving treatment or not.
