Winters Equestrian Cross Country

Winters Equestrian Cross Country Family run equestrian cross country training facility in Lincolnshire. The jumps range from 30cm tiny tots up to novice level.

Set in a secure, enclosed 19 acre site field with range of 70 jumping efforts including 2 water features and 3 banks.

**2025 XC opening update**

I've just this morning completed a ground inspection and we are looking very good for this time of year.

Ground is nearly ready for rolling - but not quite as it's still sticky in a few places.

I think we will be able to get the fences in situ at the back end of this week (the FC looks glorious)

Good luck to everyone who is going to Oasby this Thur/Fri - we may, just MAY be able to open for training pre Lincoln! That would be a first for us but fingers crossed - ground is fragile so as usual we are very weather dependent.

💢THE BIT DOCTOR 💢 is @ Winters.

**JUST 1 SPACE AVAILABLE **

Thursday 10th April Ginny (the bit Doctor) is stopping here and has time to see 3 horses/riders before she heads to Horncastle for a weekend Clinic.

Just 1 space available on Thursday 10th - £75 for 1.5 hours.

Use of a 25 x 50 surfaced arena (just a few mins from the XC field)

12 - 1.30 pm - booked.
1.30 - 3pm - booked
3pm - 4.30pm - space available

1st come 1st served for this space.

Ginny will be coming back to us in the Summer to run a full weekend clinic - I've just managed to grab her in April as she's passing.

Payment will need to be made direct to Ginny im advance.

AT LAST.....our first Competition date is in the diary.

Saturday May 24th
You've been asking us to run a competition for a while now.

It's not that straight forward and takes a lot of planning (especially when it's your 1st one)...
So we are starting small and will see how we go.

An Eventer Trial is a combined round of Show Jumps and XC jumps.

You will jump 9 Show Jumps then canter (or trot) straight through into the XC field and complete a couse of appx 15 - 17 XC Jumps.

XC will be an optimum time.

Albeit a competitive day, we aim to make this event a friendly, fun and confidence building day.
We will not be asking tricky lines or Questions in the lower classes and water and ditches only in class 3 and 4.

Classes will be as below.

Class 1 - up to 40cm.
Class 2 - up to 60 cm
Class 3 - up to 80 cm
Class 4 - 90cm.

Bookings will be online and we will send out a link in due course with entry price. £

I'm v. excited about ordering some Rosettes with Winters Equestrian on!! 🤣

We will be looking for volunteers on the day and some prize donations please 🙏 if you can help us it would be greatly appreciated.

We really hope you will be able to come and support us and get those entries in!

Parking will be in the field opposite the XC entrance.

CANT WAIT!! Eeek!

Our newly converted, character farm barn can comfortably accommodate 4 people - and is nearly finished!

Fully fitted Kitchen/Diner - and open plan lounge
Downstairs Double/twin - with bathroom 🛁
Upstairs double/twin with en suite / shower 🚿 and a small balcony with beautiful views over the Wolds and you can your ponies in the stables too!

We have great hacking and are just a 10 minute drive from Willowbanks and Hill House.

And, you can always have a spin round the Winters Equestrian Cross Country couse too!

This will be available from appx April 2025 onwards -

As soon as the finishing touches are complete we will be able to list rental prices and open up online for bookings.

Are you looking to hold a camp for your club, team, group of mates your kids?

*20 Acre enclosed and secure site with fences from 30cm to Novice. 2 water complexes - a 60m x 60m SJ paddock on grass with a full set of Show Jumps, a 20 x 40 DR arena on grass which can be altered to a 20 x 60 at request

*We can accommodate you however big or small a group, we will build a package to suit your requirements - we aim to provide a fun and relaxed environment where you can share great times and make super memories.

*We have a large undercover airy barn with 17 stables, 3 water points, electricity and a hay station. Hay, Straw and Shavings all on site.

*We have parking in the XC field for you to bring and park your tent or caravan, lorry or trailer or we have hook up available in the yard.

*We allow you to BBQ on site and we have a grill top fire 🔥 pit you can use if you'd rather not bring your own.

*We can cater for you 100% or you can go diy and self cater.

*We have an alfresco (under cover) dining area for you to all sit in the evening and enjoy your dinner together

*Mains water and WC on site in the field with a generator available to hire.

*New this year we have a converted container unit (which is still being finished) this will have Solar power and will have a sink and a fridge for you to use on your stay.
