Hi, my name is Ellie. You may recognise me as the student veterinary nurse at LucaVet, I am a fourth year student studying at Anglia Ruskin University.

For my dissertation, I am researching which medications are the most effective for the treatment of pain associated with osteoarthritis.

The future LucaVet , Rebecca only 10 now, but she is looking to become a Vet and continue the LucaVet story.
But for now she did open her little business as crafting bracelets, as we support local little business, you can find the hand crafted bracelets in the practice

We received some very exciting news this morning!
Cassie, one of our lovely clients at Broken Biscuits animal charity nominated us for Monday Motivation on BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
We were surprised with some cupcakes to get us through the day!

Sadly we have had a deceased cat brought into the clinic.

White with black markings on head and tail. Male un- neutered domestic short haired, no ID chip. Found this morning (28.02.2024) along B1225 outside stone farm carriages. Please call the Lucavet on 01673 259063 if you think this cat may be yours.

Congratulations to vet nurse Alice! She is now fully qualified, after 4 years of gruelling training, studying, exams and a dissertation!

Our student nurses work incredibly hard and we are always excited to see them flourish and 'get their greens' just like Alice!

LucaVet is proud to be a training practice, guiding students through what it takes to work as veterinary professionals. It takes hundreds of hours of clinical coaching, revising and practising their skills to gain their qualifications and we are so pleased to be a part of each student's progress.

A big well done to Alice for all her hard work and determination! 💚

With the warm weather here we’d just like to remind you how important it is that our pets don’t overheat. Remember, if in doubt, don’t . Your pet won’t die from missing a walk but they may if they overheat.

Summer Wellness at booster time

We all love our fur babies so much and treat them as part of our family, so we are offering a little extra at booster time this summer.

We can take a blood sample at the same time of your pets booster to check their inside is working as well as their outside.

This in-house analysis health screen evaluates baselines of both young and old healthy patients and can also recheck profiles for some disease states, it provides information for renal, hepatic and diabetic patients.

The wellness sample analysis is at a reduced fee of £35 for the summer.
