We are pleased to reveal our first litter of Angora Rabbits! They are super friendly and love cuddles. Olivia has taken them to LucaVet in Market Rasen for their vet check this morning and all given a clean bill of health! The babies certainly enjoyed their vet cuddles.
3 girls, 4 boys will be ready for new homes in 3 weeks.

Hatching eggs are available to buy throughout spring and summer. Currently available:
Large fowl: Rhode Island Red (pea and straight comb), Light Sussex, Buff Sussex, Golden Duckwing Araucana, Lavender Araucana, White Leghorn, Cream Legbar.
Bantam: Pekin (mixed colours), Lavender Pekin, Poland (mixed colours), Nankin, Chocolate Silkie.
Ducks: Silver Appleyard.
Quail: Coturnix (various colours available), Golden Jumbo.
Some of our other rare breeds will become available as the season progresses so please get in touch to be placed on our waiting list.

Happy Easter to everyone!
Easter Sunday here at Heritage Poultry & Livestock, and we welcomed new lambs and chicks. Our first Soay lamb of the season has brought us great excitement. She is beautiful and we are pondering on names ... suggestions welcome!
To round off our perfect Easter weekend, the very fluffy Angora rabbits enjoyed sunshine zoomies on the lawn, breeze blowing their fur before they have a spring haircut this week.

Do you like a colourful egg box? We have some beautiful Point of Lay chickens ready for their new homes. Different breeds including those who will lay olive, chocolate brown and blue shelled eggs. £22.50 each. All bred from our own stock, kept indoors following Avian Influenza guidelines. Strict protocols in place to ensure safe purchase. You can also pick up Heygates feed, Easichick bedding and treats for your flock whilst here.

As an essential service, we are open throughout lockdown (both human and avian!) as stockists for all Heygates feed, poultry accessories and supplies. We are operating within Covid-19 guidelines and any customers will be required to wear masks and remain outdoors rather than entering our shop or livestock areas.

Introducing 'Birdie' and her 5 new Pekin babies. They hatched yesterday, exactly on time, and will be going into their outdoor home tomorrow. These babies will be staying with Birdie, but we have some other day old to 3 week old chicks for sale - Pekins, Leghorns, French Maran, Olive Eggers, Bantam Black Orpingtons and Light Sussex.

Our shop at Faldingworth is now open 10-3 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Other times by appointment. We stock feed, bedding, pest control, health supplements and feeders/drinkers.
New stock of Battles Red Mite Powder, rodent bait, Red Top fly traps and Virkon S disinfectant.

Joining me in the shop today I had some beautiful Coturnix Quail! Some have gone to their new homes this evening and the others are meeting their new families later in the week. They must be happy because they have been singing along to Radio 2 with me and have laid some eggs already!

Betty and Boris, Harry's black Bantam Orpingtons, have been reunited and Betty is busy getting her housework done!
