A lot of customers ask me if having a double coated breed groomed is even worth it!
Breeds such as collies, huskies, Newfoundlands, Pomaranians etc. all have a pesky undercoat that collects together and hides the 'top coat'.
When you're brushing your double coats at home a lot of the time you will only be taking a tiny amount of that layer away, where as after a good bath and blow-dry with our high velocity dryer you can see the the layer of undercoat peeling away effortlessly!
After that we use a finishing dryer (which isn't has high powered) and our super duper slicker brushes to get all the little bits out. 🥰 It makes such a difference and gives the remaining top coat a beautiful shine.
Plus, better all that undercoat on my floor than on yours! 🤣😍

Another reminder that unfortunately all appointments are cancelled until the end of lockdown or at least until dog grooming restrictions are eased a little bit! (Hopefully soon! 😬)
If anyone's having a hard time keeping up with the brushing I'm going to post links to some products that will help you in the comments.
You always will need a slicker brush and a metal comb though so make sure you have those! I'll try and do another brushing video soon, too!
Alternatively if your dog is already matted and needs clipping short and starting again that is something I can help with so just let me know. ❤️

Our clever bath mixes the shampoo and water together and disperses it through the nozzle with just enough power to get right to the base of even the thickest coated dogs while also gently massaging the skin and encouraging their blood to flow.
