Foundation Group Training
Wednesday 7th August (6 - 8pm) FULL
Saturday 17th August (1 - 3pm) Couple of Spaces
Wednesday 28th August 9 6 - 8pm) Couple of Spaces
Educate your dog to socialise around other dogs and handlers while staying focused on you.
Learn them to walk to heel, on & off the lead, sit & stay, retrieve and learn patience while in a group with lots of distractions.
We run small groups only, max 7/8 handlers.
£40 per handler.
Complimentary Tea & Coffee at the end of the session including Questions & Answer with Carl.

COLD GAME GUNDOG TRAINING - Sunday 28th July 2024. 2 - 5pm

This is based on a real shoot day with both Peg Dogs and Picking up Dogs. Our simulated trailers will be used to put clays over guns while their dogs sit patiently until the end of the drive. Dummies will be fired from automatic launchers. Once the horn is blown the Peg Dogs will be sent to retrieve cold game and the dummies. The Picking up Dogs will wait patiently behind the guns at a distance. Automatic dummy launchers will be fired during the shoot to replicate runners and cold game will be placed for the sweep.
Price:
£95 per person. Guns with Peg Dogs
£75 per person. Non-Shooters with Picking Up Dogs
£20 Deposit secures your place.

These classes are an important starting point in your puppy’s training journey. Whether your puppy is going to be a working dog or an obedient family pet, we offer the specific training that Gundog breeds need.

Let us train you to train your new puppy and build their confidence through constructive play and positive praise.

We are really looking forward to holding our first under16’s Simulated Game Shooting Event in Lincolnshire. We have several younger members already attending at Kugae Gundogs and believe it is so important to encourage them to become responsible & safe in the sport. This event is a great opportunity to have some fun with the younger generation and teach them at the same time.
Open to Under 16-year-olds only who must be accompanied by a responsible adult with a Shotgun Licence.
£100 per Gun.
Food & drinks included.
Ear & Eye protection is provided and there will be several experienced Tutors on hand for the duration of the day.

Today we are training two springers Spaniels to work as part of our team of working gundogs.

This may be the last time they are all together as 2 are going to new homes at the weekend. We will see them but it is unlikely to have all 7 together at the same time again in the future. We can't believe they are 8 weeks old already. It has been such a joy watching them grow.

Well done to all the Handlers and their dogs at our Cold Game Training event. Shooting over the lakes gave the dogs a chance to cool down and get some great practice in for the coming shoot season.

Simulated Cold Game Gundog Training Day here at Kugae replicating a real shoot day. The dogs worked really well with some outstanding retrieves through challenging undergrowth and deep water.
