A big part of massage is listening to the horses reaction to your touch. Next time you’re with your horse, whether it’s grooming, tacking up or riding, pay attention to their body language and what they might be trying to tell you. It is the best way to understanding your horse!

I've always been interested in equine massage, but my interest really grew a couple of years ago when my horse began suffering from arthritis. Massage was a way of maintaining mobility and making sure my horse was as comfortable as possible. Seeing the benefits of massage motivated me to qualify as an equine massage therapist and now I treat a wide range of horses and ponies, from eventers to happy hackers. A massage is never a waste of time, it will help the healthiest and fittest horses feel more comfortable and supple.
