We thought a little video compilation might help Lenny find his ‘purrfect’ forever home. You can see for yourselves what a brilliant, fun loving character he is. We have had a few enquiries which we are still exploring. But, if you think you could offer him a great indoor and outdoor life, please get in touch with us on 01629 55666 or email [email protected] for some more information. He’s been castrated, vaccinated and microchipped 💙
Feel free to have a look at our previous post to find out a little more about his history 🐾
From our family to yours - Thank you for your support through out 2022 and we wish all of our clients, both two legged and four legged, a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2023 🍾
Most dogs are not keen on having the intra nasal kennel cough vaccine as although it does not hurt, it does feel a little strange. Jo Clews from Copthorne Vets has produced this video to explain how to desensitize your dog to this vaccination process for anyone who would like to try.
NOTE If your dog still is not keen we can now give a different kennel cough vaccine into the mouth which some dogs are more relaxed about. If you feel this may be more appropriate for your pet please mention this when booking your appointment.
Are your dog's ears bothering them?
Certain breeds of dog and certain types of activities can lead to a greater risk of getting ear infections, especially this time of year when the weather is warm and pollen levels are high. If you are concerned your dog's ears are bothering him or her make an appointment to have them checked over by one of our vets.
Does you dog eat slugs or snails?
If your dog eats slugs or snails please talk to us about effective worming control to prevent lungworm. Lungworm infection can be life threatening and many over the counter wormers are not effective against this parasite. For more information please call us on 01629 55666 or call in for a chat with one of our qualified veterinary nurses.
A quick reminder that this Saturday is the start of Matlock Bath illuminations. If your dog, cat or rabbit is frightened of fireworks please contact the practice for advice on how to help. We carry a number of products that are available over the counter that can reduce anxiety and our qualified nurses would be happy to talk you through how to help your pet cope with fearful experiences. Owners of pets who have not experienced fireworks before can also phone for advice on how to reduce the impact of fireworks before they encounter them for the first time.
We are stockists of Vetchoice, a range of 14 quality products that help address your pet's needs from digestion to dental care. These are available from the stand in our waiting room.
