A HOME for LUCY

LUCY has been in her best home ever now for over a year. She is doing so well.

Quote from her pawrents "She’s had a couple more play dates with her friends (the PomSkis, Sonny and Bowie) which she really enjoyed! We’ve continued with a trainer fortnightly just to help with her lead work and give her more confidence…she’s always really worried that she is doing something wrong poor girl x"

Its so good to hear she is so happy, but its also distressing what she had to go through before she found a good home. Did she always get told off, or just after the 2 small dogs and new family arrived?

Anyway its so much pleasure to hear how well she is doing and see photos. Recently they adopted two ducks and Lucy loves to herd them to the pond in a morning ! She is having the best life.

Thought I would post some photos of our Lucy who found the absolute perfect home after such a bad start to her life in England.

She has doggy friends now, human children friends and loves to look after the chickens. How brilliant that this lovely dog found the love and security she needed, she is coming on leaps and bounds.

I am currently making Christmas cards which I hope will see for our dogs, if not I can use them !!!
What other things might you be interested in? I think postage costs have decimated the market for cards unfortunately except for special occasions.
Wooden keyrings with stamped images
Ceramic tiles decorated to use as coasters
small books with decorated covers and images on some sheets
MAYBE Christmas baubles decorated (still looking at these)
Any other ideas. Its a shame not to use my inks and stamps to make additional items to raise funds for our dogs.

Please meet Phoebe. As most of my friends and family know I have been working with a rescuer in Greece since 2013. During the last year we have had to stop 'active' rescuing due to the costs needed to fund the dogs left behind over the 13 years, the dogs left with Marina the rescuer. However now and then there is a dog (or cat) that is very urgent and it falls down to us to save that animal. This is Phoebe. Found like this.

Firstly we took her to an emergency vet as it was weekend and holidays ! They thought she MAY have nerve damage in her back legs. Next it was a specialist who has confirmed no nerve damage, but there is a mass in her leg, we are hoping its not cancer. Added to this she has erichlea and Babiosa and will need treatment for that.

We have been raising funds, we have had some kind donations from followers and sponsors, but we are still currently £283 short which I have had to take out of the normal monthly fund which helps (approx 50%) the costs of the dogs remaining as they are all elderly and/or need medications. So we will be short for our own dogs end of month.

Could anybody please help us? We have not even paid for the foster or extra blood tests yet, these costs are simply the initial emergency vet, specialist and for a CATSCAN booked for tomorrow. None of these know us or the rescue, so it is obviously expected they will be paid on the day.

EMERGENCY - We will need to try to raise funds for this dog. I don't have any further information yet, he is at the vets. Hope to get update tonight. If anyone in meantime wants to donate to [email protected] and mark for injured dog it would be great to set us off funding for this extra expense. Poor dog 😢😢

We are New Life Greek Rescue. Currently after 13 years of working with this rescuer we no longer actively rescue due to the fact we have dogs left over the last 13 years who never got their chance. Most are elderly and/or need medications and regular vet treatment. However, when an emergency arises we HAVE to help, there are too many in Greece who simply walk past not caring.

If you could donate a £1 or £2 this will help us pay for any treatment needed (I hope he can survive this) but we will do our best.

Lucy is having the time of her life, she has a WONDERFUL loving home. I will download some more photos off our rescue page. She certainly landed on her paws at last, everything she always deserved.
