What a final weekend we had! Despite this crappy weather you turned out in force again and drunk us dry! Massive thankyou to team AAA both on the bar, catering and car parking. Smoothest year yet! Thankyou to the fab musicians for entertaining us. But mostly thankyou too all that came to see us.. you are an excellent crowd and we have soo many comments on the great atmosphere.. that’s as much your doing as ours! So thank you for a fab summer!
We’ll see you all next June!

What an absolutely cracking weekend we had! Definitely lots to improve on next year but I think it’s safe to say that Aldwark first ever Beer and Shear was a success!
Huge thanks to all the shearers that turned up and were very patient with my very novice set up.. you were all brilliant and put on a great show for everyone!
Thanks very much to Ivor from who very kindly gave us his time to commentate! He was excellent, and a great representative!
To the crowd.. you were epic and turned out in the masses.. slightly overwhelmed the car parking attendants.. ha ha.. we weren’t quite expecting that many of you! But you were all brilliantly behaved and are very welcome here anytime! Thank you all!
But the biggest thanks has to go to our team! Time and time again we pull these mental plans off together all with a big smile on our faces! It is flipping hard work but we have the best time! Love you all!
So here’s to next years bigger and better Beer and Shear!

Aldwarks first ever Beer and Shear. Join us up at the brewery for our first speed shear competition. Watch the art of sheep shearing plus some other fun competitions for anyone to enter. The brewery bar will be open from mid day, we’ll have hot food and music. The competitions will start at 3pm. Shearers please message to enter to guarantee a place. Entries welcome on the day.
