Midway Grad Prix CHAMPION!!! 🥳🥳🥳 69.8% in the Inter II today & 70% in the Grad Prix Freestyle last night! He has given me so many first experiences but this weekend was something special, achieving my long term goal of riding at GP, having the best time, producing a clear round test, loving every minute & providing that Dinky really is a top horse! 🦄

I think Nemo woke up on the wrong side of the bed today! After an uncharacteristically difficult test in the Elementary Gold, we decided to Retire from the Medium Gold and save him for another day! Horses, they love to pick their moments 🙈 bring on Golden Girl tomorrow and hopefully she gets plenty of beauty sleep!

Nemo 🥈 place with 71% in his second ever Medium test today! He was a very good boy, but short arena tests are definitely not for this big boy, with a slightly wobbly test for 67% in the second class. Still lots to like and still lots to work on but all going in the right direction and he just loves his lorry outings! Good boy has now finished his summer Qualification for Medium & Elementary Gold.
77.8% & 4th place at Wellington Premier League 6yr old class for Nemo today! Such a good boy, he is already starting to love the big shows with more atmosphere! Such a exciting journey with him 🦄

Nemo stepped up to do his first Medium today, very good boy with super work to come 🥈 in both his tests! Few little wobbles getting into his half-passes but wow, the quality of work is just dreamy! He is so confident at shows now, can’t believe what an amazing horse he is becoming!
Today was a special day, helping Penny & Eclipse achieve their first Advanced Medium together & it was a huge success! So proud of them both after all their hard work to get to this level. While my own horses have been training at home after the Nationals, it’s been lovely to have more time for coaching other riders and their own super horses, especially when they have such amazing achievements like today.
Such a fun day with Adam Kemp, everyone is so positive and I love following the horses progress over the months, everyone is on their own journey and it’s great to be able to see their progress every time they come for a lesson! Pictures of (not so baby) 6yr old Nemo, who after Nationals seems to now completely understand his job and is starting to look the complete picture, so so excited for his future!
What a difference a year makes, first picture Dinky at the Winter Nationals 2024 in the Inter 1, second picture Dinky at the Winter Nationals 2023 in the Advanced Medium! You can see how much stronger he is now, not to mention I’m riding better than a year ago!

Great way to finish Winter Nationals 2024 with my perfect Golden Girl 🦄 she is everything to me and yet again goes in and produces another great test to finish 15th in the Medium Gold class. Amazing week, thank you everyone for their help and support 🩵

WINTER NATIONALS 🥳
What a week so far, all 3 horses finishing in the top 10! Star of the show has to be Nemo, who a year ago hadn’t even done a BD test to now coming 9th with just under 70% in the very hot Novice Gold class! He was a total pro in the scary inside arena with crowds, trade standards and a big atmosphere, to produce a great test and felt full of confidence!
Berry was as always perfect, she is just my favourite to ride, after the worst preparation with her having a muscle flair up due to her PSSM, she is so reliable we gave her the time she needed and luckily the week of the big show she was back to her usual self. Pulling off two clear round tests for 8th place with just under 70% in both the Advanced Medium straight & Freestyle Silver classes!
Dinky as always loved every minute of a big show! A little too much enthusiasm on the first day in the Prix St George reflected in the score for 12th place, but with the help from my trainer Sophie Dickinson, we worked hard on getting the connection back and him listening to me a bit more, the second day was better in the Inter 1 to finish 10th. It’s now definitely time to crack on with our first Inter II and hopefully this will give him more to think about!
As always a huge thank you to everyone who helps me and the horses get to these big shows, fingers crossed for our last day at the Nationals on Sunday with Berry competing in the Medium Gold class 🩵

Berry has been tricky to find the right music for. Something that isn’t too overpowering for her, as she can get nervous in the ring, but also something upbeat to show her amazing movement off to! Pre Regional competition @chardequestrian Nemo was super with a win 🥇 in the Elementary Gold with 72% and a 9 for his paces! Unfortunately it wasn’t Berry’s day, she got quite nervous & lost her confidence in the first test so we withdrew from the second test, not sure if it was just a bit of a long day on the lorry for her, or she work up on the wrong side of the bed, but she is a chestnut mare, so who knows! Day one at Sparsholt Autumn Celebration of Dressage, super start to the weekend! Nemo 3rd & 5th in the Novice & Freestyle Gold with 68% & 70%. Berry 1st & 2nd in the Medium & Freestyle Gold with 68% & 71%. Dinky the star of the day, pulled off a clear round test to win the PSG & 2nd in the Inter 1 with just under 67%! After lots of training at home it was really nice to take him to @burrowscourtfarm to do the Advanced. He was definitely calmer and more focused today, although still not the score I’m hoping for with him, it’s definitely going in the right direction!
