Meet out patient Avi 💞

Avi is a worried boy, who doesn’t like to be by himself. However, snuggled into a nurse was the perfect place for Avi to recover and wait to go home ☺️

We always do our best to go above and beyond to keep our patients as calm and comfortable as possible during their stay with us. 💚

As you can see from him sitting in the scales he weighs over 10kgs. ⚖️

Meet Sadie 👋

Sadie is a lovely 8 year old German Shepherd Dog. Sadie had a sore left foreleg back in September with intermittent lameness.

After discussing the options in a consultation with a veterinary surgeon Sadie’s owner opted to get a diagnosis to we could fully understand what was going on and how best to manage her.

Sadie was diagnosed with a few mobility related issues including hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis, lumbosacral disease with spondylosis, left shoulder tendonopathy and left digital collapse.

A treatment plan was started which included pain management, physiotherapy, weight loss and exercise modifications.

We are pleased to to report Sadie is making good progress and enjoys her visits to us. 💚

This evening will include:

▪️ 7.00 - 7.15 pm An introduction by Emily Ashdown and Jeff Baring from Companion Animal Health, who are kindly sponsoring the event

Companion Animal Health supply products such as platelet rich plasma kits, class IV lasers, cold compression and stance analysers.

▪️ 7.20 - 8.10 pm Andrew Armitage BVM&S BSc MRCVS - Head of Regenerative Medicine Services and Clinical Director of Greenside Veterinary Practice

Andrew will discuss the benefits of a multimodal approach in the management of canine mobility issues. He will explore a wide range of treatments, including intra articular therapies and shockwave therapy.

There will be an emphasis on accurate diagnoses, including the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound, to facilitate targeted treatment protocols.

▪️ 8.15 - 9.00 Katie Roethenbaugh - Lead Veterinary Physiotherapist & Sofia Roy Sanabra - Veterinary Physiotherapist at Greenside Veterinary Practice

Katie and Sofia will share valuable insights into how they can help a variety of cases. They will discuss using treatment modalities such as Class IV laser therapy, Indiba radio-frequency treatment and under water treadmill hydrotherapy.

Last week Aimee, one of our Veterinary Nurses visited Edinburgh’s Royal Dick Vet. 🐕

Aimee spoke to lots of veterinary students about what it is we do at Greenside Regenerative Therapies and Rehabilitation. 💉💥💦

Encouraging them to come and do placement with us to learn more. Lots of the students were excited about this prospect as they didn’t know we are just down the road. 🐾

We hope this will encourage more Veterinary Surgeons of the future to understand about the benefits of regenerative medicine. 💚

Sleepy Sundays! Here is Sasha and Astro snoozing after recent hydrotherapy sessions at home and Goose enjoying a sleep in our kennels, notice his nose poking out the hole! 🥰

Lovely Max was in with us a few weeks ago for his stem cell implants. He is just the sweetest boy and stole all of our hearts!! Max was very brave whilst he was in with us but he has been to the vets a lot in the past, previously having had cancer treatments. We are all hoping Max starts to feel the benefits soon and can really enjoy his golden years!!

Loki is hoping everyone and their pets are managing to stay cool in the warmer weather.
