Professional Dog Walking and Basic Training offered within the Scottish Borders

The purpose of my business:
• Provide professional, trustworthy exercise to any type of dog around the Borders
• Create a relationship and understanding of each individual dog
• Provide a positive and trustworthy relationship with the owners to ensure their dogs are cared for at all times

A general walk with no training will be £14 an hour. I will only walk a maximum of 2 dogs per walk due to wanting to be able to have full control and spend time with the dogs and get to know them.

A training walk will be £18 an hour due to having qualifications and experience, this price will stay the same when working with the owner.

There will be an assessment before starting any training and that will be £10 pounds just to cover my time and fuel.

As a sign of appreciation for using my business, if you block book 15 walks or training walks with myself , I will offer a free walk or training walk to say thank you for using my services.

Due to my love of dog training I have decided to start up a business doing dog walking and offering basic training such as leash manners, recall training and generally helping dogs that are anxious, gain confidence whilst out walking. If your dog has a behavioural issue you need a little guidance with, or want to learn how to achieve better skills with your dog, look no further. I am here to help you with your needs. If I cannot help you, I know someone who can.

I have experience with reactive dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs that have no manners on the leash. The aim of my business is to work alongside dog owners to give them and their dog a better relationship and give the owner guidance to successful walks with their beloved pet. I plan to continue my studies online and gain more diplomas in dog behaviour to widen my knowledge base.

All training walks will be solo walks so I can work closely with your dog to gain trust and achieve the best focus possible. I work within a 15-mile radius of Newtown St Boswells but will consider further if my help is needed. Walks and training will primarily be from the pet’s home around the local area, this allows me to get a real feel for the dog and allows me to see what issues we need to work on. I can also take dogs farther away to walk or do training if I feel it is needed to get more focus.

Hello, my name is Lucie and this is all about me.
I have a huge love for animals and always have. I grew up with dogs and horses on a farm so animals have always been my whole life. 5 years ago myself and my partner rehomed a 5 month old German Shepherd that had some issues due to a previous life, that needed to be addressed. We got in touch with an excellent local dog trainer and started doing training to make our unruly, not so wonderful German Shepherd, into an easier, more manageable dog to deal with. I fell in love on the first day with dog training and it’s been a passion ever since.

I decided to go to Borders College to do Animal Care to continue my studies and gain more experience and as much information as I could. I have recently finished with an A in HNC Animal Care and a B in HND Animal Care. I went to a local dog boarding kennels for my work experience with a good friend of mine to gain experience working with lots of different dogs to build up my knowledge and confidence with all manner of behaviours and breeds.
