As its here's an introduction to the pets in our family.🐾

We have a Welsh Collie called Mai, she's a 'lockdown' dog - so yes was ££! Very strange times back in 2020 and our youngest son really wanted a dog. She has her crazy collie moments, but is a well loved member of our family and we are grateful (most days) as she really insists on her walks and loves running around the local fields.

Then we have a brother and sister cats, called Puzzle and Mittens - they are from a farming friend and are supposed to be our yard cats, but really they are useless and only hunt cat tins! They are best friends & very loving and follow us about and are great friends with Mai - every night they all lie down in front of the fire together.

And then there's Harry the horse. He's friendly, but not cuddly and likes to get on with the task in hand. He is generally chilled out and easy to manage, probably because he is nearly 21 years old.

💚We are loving how many of our customers are telling us how they have reduced their muck barrow output, keeping their muck heap smaller and how their trailers haven't needed emptying half as much (and at £50-£80 a time for removal that's a big £££ saving too) !

💚We are very pleased that The Ranch Store is now a stockist of Silva Crumb Pine Bedding Pellets!

'The Ranch' is a long established family business based on the Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire border at Westwood, near Jackdale. If you live in the area, its likely that you already know about this store!

The Ranch sell a huge range of equestrian items from clothing, horse rugs, horse wear and tack, sundries and feed plus bedding from the large store, plus a big car park on site too. It's hard to visit The Ranch and leave empty handed!

🐴 Remember all of our retailer stockists are listed on our website so do have a look for your nearest one. We are adding new retailers each week so keep checking!

Quite simply its 100% Pine Softwood made into pellets for horse bedding rather than for burning.

♻ All the pine used comes from sustainable forests which mean the trees are not cut down to make pine pellets. As part of the forest management trees are planted and grown and then harvested and any surplus wood material is then turned into pellets, ensuring there is no waste.

🏭 The raw wood material is kiln dried and made into a milled wood pellet meaning it has a 'structure' and is far more absorbent 💧than pellets made from waste wood or sawdust that are designed to be burnt for fuel.

😷 The pellets are screened for dust and as not made from sawdust, the resulting pellet is a crumb texture that contains very low airborne dust, much lower than pellets made for burning.

🐴 Silva Crumb is a pellet made for horses 🟰 it readily breaks down from the pellet into a soft crumb material that works hard in your stable to maximise absorption, minimise waste, control ammonia and provide a comfortable bed for your horse!

🌲 As they are 100% Pine, you can really notice the smell, lovely and fresh, plus the selected pine is a pale golden colour which keeps your bed looking light and clean. Spotting the 💩 is easy!

Looking after your horses hooves is key to horse welfare and their well being and as the saying goes 'no foot, no horse' and bedding in the stable plays a key role in horse hoof health.

🌲Silva Crumb 100% Pine Pellets are an excellent choice for a number of reasons:

🌟January has a been a busy month so far and we are so pleased that our Pine Bedding Pellets are finding their way into more stables and helping equestrians with the day to day stable chores, keeping mucking out to a minimum both in terms of time and waste, 🎉💩💦⏰🐴

Are you an eager, ambitious person looking for a rewarding career on a state-of-the-art 5* event yard? We are lucky to have a super team of talented horses from 4yr olds to 5* event horses🤩

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain your Level Two or Level Three Apprenticeship qualifications with Stubbing Court Training Ltd whilst enjoying a hands-on position with the horses you love.

📍Indoor yard based in Leicestershire, with wonderful onsite facilities for both humans and horses.
🏠Onsite accommodation available, if desired.
🐴Availability to bring your own horse for training, if desired.
⏰Flexibility in working hours and days to suit the right candidate.
✔️All yard duties, including mucking out, filling hay nets and grooming. Additional opportunities available for those who desire them, including attending shows.
🎓Our current Apprentice has been with us for both her Level Two and Level Three, gaining a rare distinction qualification in both before being offered a full-time Yard Manager role after her studies.
🤝Work with a team that values collaboration and enjoy a close-knit relationship with many nice social opportunities too. Our team went to Barcelona for their Christmas party in 2024✈️ 🇪🇸
