👀 🙌 2025 has started well with new retailers now stocking Silva Crumb Pine Pellets 🤩

We are delighted that Park Farm Oakley who are based at Oakley, near Basingstoke now have our bedding pellets in their shop for customers to buy.

The farm is a busy place not only having an on-site livery yard as well as a busy shop, they also have a delivery round too.

Rose Mill Feeds are located in the small town of Illminster in Somerset, which has a tradition of being known for its many independent businesses.

are a family run, independent business and Dave and Tab took on running this long established business only in February 2024 after the previous owners retired. We approached the new owner, Tab, and after seeing a sample was keen to stock Silva Crumb. Feedback to date has been very positive with customers buying the pellets for horses and cats, both appreciating the ammonia control, product longevity and large bag size.🌟💚

❄️Now its officially winter, horses are largely inside and bedding is needed in the stable to provide comfort - but how much bedding you throw away because it's wet through can be a lot and a costly burden to bear. 🤑

🤑 We know it can be difficult to estimate how economical a type of bedding is and usage does vary somewhat between horses - but as we are often asked how long should a pallet last, here is a bit of Louise math's to answer this question!

🌲Silva Crumb is an exceptionally dry bedding at 8-10% moisture, compared to shavings which are typically 18-20% moisture. This means our pellets can do a LOT of soaking up before the bedding is ready for the muck heap. Plus the super thing is the pine in our pellets stops the ammonia smell too (getting technical here... the natural resin found in Silva Crumb pine is very high, inhibiting the bacteria growing that makes the ammonia gas / smell).

👀 🔥Our pellets are of a much higher quality than your average / fuel / burning pellet - they are not made from sawdust/ any type of waste wood and that is why they are so long lasting, plus our bags are 18 kg each and not 15kg (important when comparing price).

📲On average use a full pallet will last 10 + months to a year per horse, pretty economical stuff. As someone recently said to me she was fed up of throwing away most of her shavings bed each day as it was so wet, using Silva Crumb definitely reduces waste and the amount you spend on bedding - even a couple of bags makes a difference - do have a read of our customer reviews!

👀Looking for Silva Bed Pellets in Gloucestershire .....we have 2 super stockists both based in the Gloucester area 🤩

🐴 Gloucester Mixfeeds can be found near Brockworth, just off the A46 Painswick Road.
This is a long standing family business selling a good range of pet and horse feed, horse bedding and sundries plus essentials like logs and kindling - the owner, Anthony, is very helpful and knowledgeable about the feeds and products sold there.

🐴 Pound Farm Shop can be found on the A4173 just near the village of Whaddon, to the south of Gloucester.
This is another family business with a thriving plant centre, farm shop, a cafe and a good selection of horse bedding and hay. including Silva Crumb Pine Pellets 😃

As a small family business ourselves, we enjoy building relationships with other family businesses and supporting each other.

👉Greenstead Animal Feeds, based in the Halstead area, of Essex, have been in business for 16 years and stocks a large range of pet and horse feed, accessories, equestrian clothing and supplies for horse and rider including hats and body protectors.

Bayley's is a long established family run Dairy Engineering & Agricultural Supplies business based in Derbyshire.

The Country Store is located in South Derbyshire in Rosliston and sells on farm supplies, pet, poultry & pests items, clothing, essentials for home and garden and importantly an expanding equestrian department including bedding!

Sounds like a visit there would be useful especially for Christmas purchases and of course our Super Pine Bedding Pellets to make your mucking out a breeze this winter!
