🌟 Exciting New Chapter Ahead! 🌟

As the new year kicks off, I have some news to share! I’m returning to the world of human factors. This incredible opportunity will allow me to further develop my skills and apply my knowledge in a number of interesting ways.

While this means I’ll be stepping back from my day-to-day training role at Armatus Canine, this isn’t goodbye! I’m simply shifting gears to focus on protection sport —something I’m truly passionate about. You’ll find me at our sports clubs, training Jester and Rex in their respective sports, and doing all I can to support our members and their awesome dogs 🙌🥰

Thank you to everyone who has supported me at Armatus Canine — it’s been an amazing journey and it’s certainly not over! I’m so excited to bring this new energy to the world of protection sports and continue growing with this incredible community.

From January 2025 Armatus Canine are looking for a weekend Kennel assistant .

This person’s responsibilities will include;
- caring for up to 15 dogs keeping their kennels in a hygienic manner (These dogs include German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, cocker spaniels, labradors and other working breeds)
- feeding and grooming as well as enjoying walks in our free run.

Applicants must;
- Be able to drive, due to our rural location
- Must be reliable
- Have a passion for dogs.

There will also be opportunities to work with and shadow an experienced dog training team, including Jazz Barron-Harris (Behaviourist, trainer and world championship sports dog competitor) as well as various other working dog trainers, covering Security dogs, explosive detection, drug detection, protection sports and behavioural training.

This would be a great opportunity for somebody looking to work in dog training or operational dog handling.

6 hours per day split over 2 shifts giving you opportunity for learning In between shifts.

On this Armistice Day, we at Armatus Canine pause to honour the sacrifices of those who served and continue to serve, both two-legged and four.

Today, we remember the courage and dedication of our Armed Forces and their canine companions who have stood side by side with their handlers, selflessly protecting and saving lives.

As a veteran-owned business, Remembrance Day holds a special place in our hearts. We know firsthand the bond between a handler and their dog, as well as the loss of not only those dogs but friends, family and colleagues.

Let us remember and honour those who never returned home and those who continue to serve.

To the veterans, the serving personnel, and the working dogs past and present - thank you for your service and your sacrifice.

Lest we forget.

Now, this doesn’t look much but we’re actually working a couple things with Ripp here. ‌Firstly confidence… a slide is pretty scary for a pup but Ripp has patterned this beautifully and ended up just whipping over that of his own accord! ‌Secondly handler engagement! Our Story

Armatus Risks Canine was started by ex military personnel with a passion for working with dogs.

We bring our professionalism and energy into an industry with the aim of being a name people associate with high standards and reliability. Our training team might seem young, but they are all ex Army, some being ex military working dog handlers themselves. Between the team we own 22 of our own working dogs and have over 40 years experience combined. Retired Military Working Dog Titch is our mascot after serving 6 years in the Army as a Search and Protection dog.

We are realistic in our approach to training and work in a relaxed atmosphere to get the best out of the people and dogs that train with us. Every dog and their handler is different, that's why each and every training session we run is tailored to them. Our courses are run throughout the year with competitive rates, discounts for veterans and previous students. We have contacts up and down the country so we have the ability to train at venues to give future dog handlers the best experience possible before doing the job.
