Our Atlas Moth caterpillars have been spinning their cocoons. When they are fully formed, you will find the cocoons in our emerging cage where they will stay for around 6 weeks before a beautiful Atlas Moth emerges 🐛

Burmese Python Shedding.
This morning we caught Billy our Burmese Python shedding his skin! It’s not very often that we get to see this process so it was fascinating getting the opportunity to watch!

Creepy Halloween fact! Did you know Stick Insects sometimes eat their old skin after they shed? Here's a video of one of our female Macleay's Spectre Stick Insect eating her old skin! As stick insects grow they go through stages called instars, growing larger every time they shed their skin.
