CANIX WORKSHOP

It will be approx 1 1/2 hours long

We will cover :

Kit
Warm up for your dogs
Commands
Form
How to prep for a race
Post race care

We will do short bursts of running at your own pace when practicing commands

This will be £10 and all proceeds will be going to dobermann rescue UK

After this we will have weekly/bimonthly meet ups for practice☺️ ALL BREEDS AND ABILITIES WELCOME 🙏 If you need to borrow a dog ( or just want a go with a speed demon 😈 let us know ) 🤣

Spotlight on our amazing owners 😍🥰🌟
This little chap faced some reactivity issues when he first came to us after being rushed by a Rottweiler. Here you can see his owners have made amazing progress with their training and today we practice some blind corners and interacting with a large bouncy black and town dog. Poppy did a great job being a student dog and gaining helping this lad gain his confidence a little too good job because he started to fancy it towards the end and we faced some different types of issues other than reactivity🤣💙🩵

We’re excited to share that we’ve rebranded with a new logo that honors our beloved Brandie. Our original logo was her silhouette as she was the reason we started this path.The new logo was inspired by a photo of her at an agility competition just 4 months before she passed away, where she won first place despite not having competed in three years, and with no practice. Her natural talent, drive, and heart made her a unicorn in every sense. At that point I had no idea it would be my last time running a course with her.

Brandie was more than just a dog; she was my best friend, my soulmate, my sister and the reason we began this journey in the first place—to help dogs like her, who lacked confidence, shine in sports. Brandie came into my life when I was just 15. She was a tiny nervous puppy who I wanted to show, but countless advice and trainers could not get her to enjoy the show ring. One day we got 2 buses and walked 40 minutes to participate in a disc dog workshop. This was the workshop that changed the direction my life went. Brandie who was a nervous dog shone. She was confident, performing tricks and loving life. We went on to compete in disc and she qualified to represent the UK in both toss n fetch and freestyle. We went on to dabble in flyball, bikeajor, dockdiving,heel to music, obedience and even star in a music video or two. All of which would not have been possible without growing her confidence ( and mine) with dog sports.When we lost her, it felt like we lost our spark. I lost my drive to do much. Life just felt a little pointless. The thought of walking away from the business crossed our minds, but the support of our incredible clients—many of whom have become friends—gave us the strength to continue.Watching so many of you face difficulties with your dogs have have patience to overcome these made me realise why we do what we do.
Brandie was the inspiration behind our first logo, and she will always be the inspiration behind everything we do. She is our reminder that there are more dogs out there who need help, and we’re dedicated to ensuring they shine just like she did. We hope you love our logo as much as our old one , we know we do 💙🩵💙

I am hoping to run a canix workshop march 16/23rd ( if you have a preference on date please let me know below!)

It will be approx 8:30am - 10 am

How to prep for a race

And then we will wind down with a group 4-5k at a pace for dogs and owners with a few rests between

This will be £10 and all proceeds will be going to dobermann rescue UK
