During this time:
❌ No Agility classes
❌ No Lure sessions
❌ No Neutrality classes
❌ No 1-2-1 sessions booked in
📵 We’ll also be mostly non-responsive to messages during this period.

Just like cars, not all dogs are built the same—even within the same breed. A working line dog is like a race car: built for speed, power, and performance. That means more training, more stimulation, and more responsibility.

They’re incredible partners when their needs are met, but without proper outlets for their drive, things can go off track fast (hello, car-chasing collie!).

🌞🐾 Canicrossing in Summer? Keep Your Dog Safe! 🐾🌞

Running with your dog is a great way to stay active, but summer heat can be dangerous for our furry friends. Here are some essential tips to keep your pup safe while canicrossing in warmer weather:

✅ Run Early or Late – Avoid the midday heat. Stick to early mornings or evenings when temperatures are cooler.
✅ Check the Ground – Hot pavement can burn paw pads. Test with your hand – if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them! Avoid road running where possible!
✅ Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate – Bring water for both you and your dog. Offer frequent sips and don’t wait for signs of thirst.
✅ Watch for Signs of Overheating – Excessive panting, drooling, or slowing down are red flags. Stop immediately and cool your dog.
✅ Choose Shaded Trails – Forest paths and grassy areas are safer and cooler than open roads or concrete.
✅ Adjust Distance and Pace – Go shorter and slower than usual in the heat. Safety first!

Hosted by Sporting Paws

📅 Starting: July 8th at 7 PM
💷 £75 for a 4-week block
🐕 Limited to 6 dogs per session to ensure each gets 5 runs!
👉 Drop-in available if spaces are not full.

Each week we’ll switch between Fast CAT and Lure Course.
We’ll also be running two competitions over the Summer for you to get involved with!

Private 1-2-1 and group sessions are also available – perfect if you want to come along with friends and their dogs!

Lure Coursing Tuesday: The Day Everything Went Wrong 😅🐾

We had a quiet class… or so we thought!
The lure had a mind of its own — getting yanked out by the long grass, magically passing through metal (still trying to figure that one out 🤯), and the cheeky dogs decided the shortcut was the way to go! 🚀

A few dew claw injuries (sending speedy recovery vibes 💙) and a whole lot of chaos later… we’re hoping tonight’s class is a little less eventful! 🤞

Thanks to everyone who stuck it out with smiles and patience — sometimes it’s just one of those nights!
