1. Islas hormigas (Murcia)
A dos millas náuticas de la costa de Cartagena (Murcia) .

Los fondos marinos de la reserva han sido declarados en 2015 como mejor destino de buceo del continente europeo. Además de la gran fauna y gran pradera de posidonia que tiene, ofrece numerosos pecios históricos hundidos, entre los que destaca el Sirio, un trasatlántico que se hundió en 1906.

2. Isla de Tabarca (Alicante)
A 2,35 millas náuticas del cabo de Santa Pola (Alicante)
Es la primera reserva marina de España. Destaca sus aguas cristalinas, su escasa o nula contaminación y su gran biodiversidad a poca profundidad.

Destaca la gran pradera de Posidonia donde se pueden encontrar erizos de mar, crustáceos, moluscos, coloridos bancos de peces e incluso son frecuentes en la zona ejemplares adultos de la tortuga boba (Caretta caretta).

3. Islas Cíes (Pontevedra)
Archipiélago situado en la ría de Vigo.

Es uno de los ecosistemas más ricos de la costa gallega. Tiene diferentes tipos de entornos: los acantilados están poblados por percebes y mejillones. En su parte submarina se pueden encontrar nécoras, centollos, bogavantes y pulpos. En las playas de las zonas más protegidas hay multitud de moluscos bivalvos, así como rodaballos, sollas y lenguados. Las zonas rocosas están pobladas por verdaderos bosques de anémonas y numerosos erizos de mar.

4. Islas medas (Girona)
A un kilómetro de la costa de L'Estartit, en Girona (Cataluña).

El fondo marino es de un valor excepcional, existen 1350 especies con vida, contando solo con las que se encuentran catalogadas. Destaca el coral rojo, las praderas de posidonia, varias especies de peces vistosos colores, los cangrejos y las estrellas de mar.

5. Islas columbretes (Castellón)
A 49 kilómetros de la costa de Castellón.

La complicada topografía de esos fondos marinos, llenos de escollos, bancos y bajos, es el refugio natural muchas especies. Se pueden encontrar gran variedad de comunidades bentónicas, bancos de peces y singularidades como el coral rojo y el alga Laminaria redriguezi.

The large Posidonia meadow stands out where you can find sea urchins, crustaceans, molluscs, colourful schools of fish and even adult specimens of the loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta) are frequent in the area.

3. Cies Islands (Pontevedra)
An archipelago located in the Vigo estuary.

It is one of the richest ecosystems on the Galician coast. It has different types of environments: the cliffs are populated by barnacles and mussels. In its underwater part, you can find crabs, spider crabs, lobsters and octopuses. On the beaches of the most protected areas, there are many bivalve molluscs, as well as turbot, plaice and sole. The rocky areas are populated by veritable forests of anemones and numerous sea urchins.
Medes Islands (Girona)
One kilometre from the coast of L'Estartit, in Girona (Catalonia).

The seabed is of exceptional value, there are 1,350 living species, counting only those that are catalogued. Highlights are the red coral, the Posidonia meadows, and various species of brightly coloured fish, crabs and starfish.

5. Columbretes Islands (Castellón)
49 kilometers from the coast of Castellón.

The complicated topography of these seabeds, full of reefs, banks and shallows, is the natural refuge for many species. You can find a wide variety of benthic communities, schools of fish and singularities such as red coral and the algae Laminaria redriguezi.
