It all started in 2012, when we established our Pet Store here in North Ormesby, Middlesbrough.
Having worked in the pet industry for a few years, Ash & Terry looked at what current pet stores had to offer and decided that “We can do things differently”. Throughout the years the store has evolved bit by bit to the fantastic store we now have. At the start of the journey the store was named Furs Feathers & Fins, as it was a great name for the selection of animals we had available, i.e Rabbits, Birds, Fish.
After the great success of opening Furs Feathers & Fins and growing year on year, we looked at how we could grow the business further, and in 2014 we looked at another section in the pet industry that was dated and could be improved, Dog Grooming. Throughout 2014-2015 Terry (owner) & Tracy (Terry’s Mum) trained and qualified as Dog Groomers/Stylists and opened the doors to Sweeney Dog, The Grooming Room Of Kings Road in spring 2015. Having gained the trust over the years with our customers in the pet store the groomers was an instant success and became fully booked straight away.
Over the next year both business worked great side by side, but seemed a little bit of a mouth full with the names, Furs Feathers & Fins and Sweeney Dog, The Grooming Room Of Kings Road, so the decision was made to have it all under one.
