Hi I’m Sarah and the owner of 🩺🐾

I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse and have 10+ years experience in the industry. Ranging from being a head nurse in a busy referral hospital to now locumming in a variety of practices in the North East.

I opened the Vet Pet Nurse at the start of this year after returning to primary care practice, to make specific services more accessible and affordable. I’m also pro fear free and feel this is more achievable in the pet’s own environment.

I am open to extending my services offered in the future in keeping within the RCVS guidelines. Therefore if there is a specific service you require that isn’t listed, don’t hesitate to ask. However full disclaimer, I will refer you back to your veterinary practice for services I’m not allowed or not in the capacity to perform.

Is Dougie not just the best looking boy 😍

Dougie is nearly 5 months old, and his sharp puppy dew claws were starting to get abit too scratchy 😂

It’s important to get dogs used to having their paws touched and desensitised from an early age! Not sure Dougie even noticed his being clipped 🤣💅🏼🩶

Doby was such a good boy for his teeth clean 🪥🦷✨

As you can see in the photo Doby has some inflammed gums and calculus build up on his canines, completely normal for a 7 year old pooch.

The before and after photos show a realistic expectation of the improvement from one session, another session of two and Doby will just need maintenance cleans 🐶☺️

How to keep your pets safe this Halloween 🎃👇🏻

🎃Keep sweets and chocolate out of reach
☠️Dont force them to wear a Halloween costume
👻Be careful of decorations such as glowsticks
🕷️Walk before it’s dark, and don’t force them to go out trick or treating
🧟‍♂️Create a den or quiet space away from trick or treaters
🎃leave your treats outside if your dog is reactive to the doorbell
☠️Keep candlelit pumpkins at a safe distance
👻Keep outdoor cats inside
🕷️Make sure your microchip details are up to date

If your pet does ingest something they shouldn’t or hurt themselves, use the emergency contact list to call your primary care vets asap or your OOH emergency provider.

Honestly- I'm a little burnt out, l've been putting every spare minute of time and effort into setting up as a locum and my small business.
