REST DAY GUILT⁉️

Today for the first time in as long as I can remember I’ve done NOTHING, walked Togo but nothing else other than sitting on the sofa.
(After 3 hectic days and a night of interrupted sleep from Togo 💩ing)

And it’s made me feel guilty, but why? As a small business owner you always feel like you should be doing something to better yourself or your business. And your todo list is sat lengthening instead of shortening…

How do you find it best to switch off and not feel guilty for it? Asking for a friend 🙄🤣

✂️Part Time Groomer Vacancy - Approx 16 hours per week / 2 days.

An exciting opportunity to join the team in our Thornaby salon as an Experienced Part Time Dog Groomer.

Working in an established salon within our pet supplies shop with an existing client base you would be expected to complete pet grooms and breed standard grooms from start to finish aiming to complete at least 4-6 full grooms per day (depending on breed type).

The candidate :

Should be able to confidently complete a groom from start to finish without assistance, including bathing, drying and styling.
Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable, but not essential with a proven background in a busy salon environment.
Have good customer service skills including the ability to take instructions, advise on style preferences and educate customers when required.
Be able to work independently or in a team.
Be interested in developing their skills and ongoing CPD.
Be available to work a minimum of 2 days a week including Saturdays on rotation, with extra shifts available to cover sickness and holidays.
Would not normally be required to cover the reception so groomers do not get disturbed by having to answer the phone, book appointments or take payments.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a paid work trial in our salon before an offer of employment is made.

What we offer :

Salary based on experience.
Commission paid on upgrades and nail trims.
Workplace pension ( depending on entitlement ).
5.6 weeks holiday per year ( pro-rata ).
No Bank Holiday working.
No late nights.
Canine First Aid Training ( if required )
Free uniform.
Tools and equipment provided - however if you choose to use your own tools a contribution is made towards maintaining them.
Never required to work alone. There will always be another member of staff in the shop. ( This may be a non-grooming colleague )
Ongoing CPD including online workplace H&S training, grooming seminars, trips to events such as Crufts, PATS etc..

There is NO on the job training for this position. So only experienced groomers need to apply.
