Flashback Friday!

Did you know that our sign on the wall and the lane is Berry and I?

I had just turned 16 in this photo and Berry was my first horse. We competed Discovery and Newcomers and even did a couple of FoxHunter by the end of our partnership!

That’s 100-120cm classes in new money! And now I’m proud of the odd 80/90cm!

Well done Amber! Since coming out of Mat Leave in January you have surpassed all we could have hoped for!

So far she has qualified in national champs for Eland Lodge, Swalcliffe and Stoneleigh! Next is Hickstead!

DANCE WORLD CUP - PRAGUE 2024

Stainsby Stud was delighted to sponsor Jenson Lee McMaster age 14 from Thornaby. Jenson was selected to compete for Team England at the Dance World Cup in Prague 2024. He qualified for his lyrical and contemporary solos selected from thousands of children around the world in his age category.
We are super proud to announce he is bringing home a Bronze Medal - 3rd in the World - well done Jenson 👏👏👏

Message from Joe —-
Thank you so much for all the kind gifts, cards and really thoughtful words, I’m very overwhelmed…and slightly concerned for my waist line 🍫

I want to say a huge thanks to any and all my riders who I’ve taught over the years. Those cold, wet and windy mornings are never easy but it’s always been a brighter day after helping you push yourself to do something new, trying tricky things, sometimes failing…but always getting back on and forever showing how much a love for horses is key!

The horse world is very small and I’ve no doubt I’ll bump into many of you in the future with your own horses and ponies!

JOE IS LEAVING 🥲🥲

After more than 20 years of being involved here this is Joe’s last day teaching for us.

So….. A very big thank you Joe for being part of Stainsby Stud and taking on our Sunday lessons with enthusiasm, passion and most importantly - the desire to make Stainsby Stud Riding School one of the best.

I know you will be missed by all your riders who have confidently progressed and parents who watched their children enjoy and learn in every well planned lesson.

PRICE INCREASE - MAY 2024

Owing to the continuous price rises and the impact on wages, hay, straw and feed (things as a business we cannot reduce) we will be increasing the costs of our lessons and implementing our no show/late cancellation process as follows:

From the 4 May 2024 our new price list will be:

1/2 hr lead rein - £15pp
1 hr group lessons - £24
1/2 hr private lesson - £26
3/4 hr private -£30
1/2 hr Semi-private - 23 min 2 riders
Parties - £120 for 6 children

Cancellations - 24 hours notice is to be given otherwise full payment of the lesson is required. Please make a note of our mobile no. 07814906555 as this is the preferred communication method for existing clients and not FB messenger .

Attendance of less than 4 in a group lesson: 45 minutes

Single attendance in a group lesson: 30 minutes

We do hope we have your full understanding and continuous support.

Groom/Coach Vacancy

We have a vacancy for a Level Two groom/coach to join our team at Stainsby Stud Riding School.

Initially the post will be part time, with the opportunity for this to become a full time position in the future.

As a small family run riding school the applicant must be hardworking, reliable and already hold qualifications equivalent to BHS Stage Two

Main responsibilities will include:

◦ Yard management and care of riding school ponies
◦ coaching of beginner/ novice riders
◦ The opportunity to school riding school horses and ponies

The ideal candidate will be confident to work alongside a small team undertaking the general running of the riding school. They must be an enthusiastic coach, wanting to grow and develop the beginner/novice rider. They must be able to work well with our current team, and ideally like to progress their career with our support to becoming a senior coach/groom in order that they could work singlehanded at times

As some schools are taking half term early we can look to put on an earlier own a pony date in addition to 21st. Please comment below if your child would be able to attend Wednesday 14th February. Numbers depending, we will put on a full or half day.
