So they can go straight from drinking mums milk to eating healthy, natural raw food at 3-4 weeks old!
๐ฆ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐:-
โข Solid food should be introduced gradually and always supervise them while eating solid food this way you can also monitor them and make sure they are all getting their fair share.
โข Hold onto their first bone (usually about 5 weeks old) to make sure they know to chew it well and get them used to it.
โข Start off with a weaning paste and gradually go for chunkier meats. You may want to add some warm water, raw goats milk or bone broth to make it easier for puppies to lap up.
โข Smaller and brachycephalic breeds may want to stick with finer minces until their pups are older.
โข Let mum naturally regulate how much time she wants to spend when her puppies are weaned, they will naturally drink less the more food they get.
โข Feeding will be messy especially their first few times but mum should be let in to clean up after them once the puppies are finished eating.
