Something a bit different for everyone today. Let's have a Monday morning mood boost. But before you ask. No, we arent boarding monkeys and tigers now 😂 even though it may seem like we do sometimes Haha We hope you are all well. And dont forget as you are planning you holidays now things are slowly getting back to normal. We are open!

Attack of the puppy pug. I'm lucky to of survived.

This is Bolt. His owners Tracey and Shell are on holiday at the moment. Shell works here at Bartle Bridge. On Friday Bolt (who has always been fit and healthy boy with no signs of any problems) took a serious turn for the worst. To which point not only could he not walk but he couldn't even sit up. He would fall onto his side and not move. He was rushed to the vets by Catherine which led to blood tests and so on to try and find the cause. With a dangerously low white blood cell count it wasn't looking good. And he actually got worse while at the vets. They gave him injections and then a course of both antibiotics and anti inflamatory/pain killers to see if it could help him recover over the weekend. We were all very worried and none of us were sure how it was going to go. This is him today :D He is still stumbling and wobbling but the difference and progress he's made is unbelievable. The fight dogs have is incredible. Everybody including the vet thought the worst on Friday and wasn't sure whether he could pull himself round. But he's made massive steps in progress. We will keep you updated too.

A quick little clip of our stunning resident barn owl. We hadn't seen him for a while but caught him today stalking over the fields of long grass with his eye on some dinner. We couldn't help but stop and watch in amazement! Such a majestic and beautiful bird it's impossible not to stop and stare! P.s. apologies for the terrible quality.
