You may have seen me wandering about with my dogs in Alkrington Woods. I've been a dog walker for 4 years (since June 2017) and recently qualified as Behaviourist for all issues relating to dogs and puppies. My methods are positive, using rewards to show the dogs how I would like them to behave and setting boundaries only with verbal interrupters and corrections. I understand that working a 40 hou
r week, plus commuting, is challenging and leaves barely enough time to manage a home, cook your tea and relax, before beginning again the next day. That's what lead me here; in my previous life in the Youth Offending Service I felt that pressure to work long hours while constantly feeling guilty that I should be home keeping my dog, Rudy, company. That's why I take pride in offering a genuinely tiring walk to your dog; they are in groups of 5-6 of similar aged dogs who will be stimulated by each others company; they cover at least 1.5 miles and last a minimum of 1 hour from jumping out of the van to jumping back in. I feel that for most breeds a walk with Lead the Way will meet most their exercise requirements for the day. I am insured, have completed canine first aid and, as stated, I am a qualified canine behaviourist. If you leave your dog with me you can be assured that they are in good hand! My walks are generally very busy, but I welcome enquiries at any time and if I can't facilitate your walking requirements then I can signpost you on to some of the other fabulous dog walkers we have in Middleton.
