New intake to rescue yesterday from another rescue (one of our swaps of animals with other rescues). Quite unsure of people but appears the way to his heart is food. Building up confidence is key and takes time.
Need suggestions of a name for him/her not 100% on sex so unisex names ideal lol.
Here is CELERY in its new home for now to let it settle quick cheeky try with food this afternoon but didn't which we really didn't expect it to so going to let it have a mooch and explore of his new home. Elijah sorted him our a lovely.little set up to make it feel right at home.
How the heck is this little guy still here loads of people asking but no one has come back to give him a home poor little thing wants to be someone's little love.
Something completely different collected from Stapley Bridge wildlife center. This guy or girl was found in a bag of celery in sainsbury that came from Spain.
Natrix Maura small non venomous snake from mainland Europe. They mimic vipers which is cool but completely harmless.
Now the hard bit to see if we can get him feeding first offering small earth worms then if not will be moving thru fish small rodents or scenting with frogs but he is only little so hopefully we can get him established.
As per a request from Stapely Bridge his name is CELERY.
Say hello to MAX the tegu come from Leicestershire owners having a baby (was having baby yesterday) he is out for a stretch in the rescue. Lovely and friendly.
When a dragon that doesn't usually want to eat a lot decides today I am going to scoff dubias till my eyes pop. Listen to the crunch.
The carpet python that came in months ago from the golf course in Chester. Having his first decent full shed been months to get him to this point always pieces and flakey but a decent full shed. We'll done to Sophie for all the one on one care
Youngish adult dragon available does have half a tail but lovely and placid. Looking for a forever home had a few people asking but has not had homes confirmed. Full set up can be done as well if you don't have one already.
Set up done with me doing electrics and fog machines and lighting and Sophie doing plants and decor.
4x2x3 set up for a tokay gecko he is in their and can we fook find him he is loving life.
PS name suggestions for an adult male tokay
The young green anaconda in its new home nearly 1/3 is water as they need a large amount of water and some plants and wood to get him/her going. Will be adding over next week or two to make it as dense as we can.
This came in as one species but I am sure it's a different one.
Opinions on species GO GO GO !!!
Derpy Asian toad stalks his snaks upside down but gets it every time such a common animal but this one really has personality.
Something a little different and a little SAD on my part. Mortician the 13ft burm put into her new enclosure, waiting for kids paddling pool for water bowl and then adding a swing and possibly a slide and she will be living in a kids play area. Just a set up done in a different style rather then going all natural. She looks so small in her new want in enclosure.
Next up a mata mata turtles these are wierd looking things. Again only young and like the snapper is going straight to a specialist keeper who is fully equipped to deal with these. As we don't have facilities to house turtles in the rescue.
Corrected its an aligator snapper not common snapper only a year or so old these grow huge so not good pets unless you have e the space. This guy is going to specialist who has the facilities to house them long term.
Second Solomon island ground boa again male but this is a much darker one. Again rough scales to the touch and stays sub 4ft. Lovely snakes would keep em if I had more vivs lol
RESERVED
First pic of some of the collection that came In Solomon island ground boa male, very pale these boas don't grow big maxing out at 3-4ft with rough scales and a funny looking head. Interesting species and not often seen.
Guess the number of isopods giant orange with a glass enclosure. There is 100s in here.
For £1 take a guess at how many were put in here when we set it up closest guess wins the tank and all the isopods within it.
YES WE DID COUNT THEM (well elijah worked out how to calculate their numbers)
There is enough here to do several large bioactive set ups in just have a tank of isopods as pets.
Pop instore have a look and take a guess if you want to win.
Big shout out to

For building this new ealk in enclosure for our burm and also to Neil for the materials to complete this build.
Less then 3 days to build hearing and lighting to go in then build the theme of the enclosure.
When taking on a giant snake please think about the commitment to there life of 30 odd years and it only takes a few years to go 12-13ft so quick. Snakes should be able move around and explore when housed in there perminant enclosures. As I am only keeping one giant on a perminant bases thought go big and give her space. The viv itself is freestanding with 3 inch thick insulated custom built panels and a double glazes viewing window. She will be nice and toasty warn hope to have it completed and her inside next week sometime once paints and sealants all gone off and electrics finished.
Just a little enclosure for the Burmese. If considering a Burmese consider that you will need something this sort of size.
