Hi we have caught up with most of our large back orders and so the next batch of hens are ready from tomorrow lunchtime if anyone is still needing some.
We don’t have any brown hens now until maybe next week but all rest we have including copper Nero Dari eggs layers.

We are away until 7th September so if anyone still requires hens the waiting list is being fulfilled from 8th September.
We only close once a year to be able to take all the children/family away for. Break as we are get all chickened out 😆..

PLEASE EVEYONE GET YOUR ORDERS IN FOR COLLECTIONS AND DELIVERIES THIS WEEK/WEEKEND AS PULLETS SELLING FAST

We have no Cheshire blue left until couple of weeks.
We have honoured many of our prices from last year and back orders but they have all been processed and since checking all our providers for stock and supplies and evrything basically due to bird flu pandemic and war in eukrane etc they have out all prices up by abit so we may have to increase ours at some point which as you all know we never have put prices up In all the years you have been with us. It’s a necessity to say open really.

Thank you to all our customers who came from morning till 7pm when we finnally closed..

A nice throwback years ago to how my youngest daughter orla loved her chickens and my middle daughter Matilda just never took to them
(you can here her in background) and till to this day they are still the same in there ways.

Hello everyone it’s Chris here from aherns hen house.
I am very sorry about the lack of activity on here and not being able to respond to anyone’s messages or comments.
Firstly the issue was due to someone maliciously reporting us to Facebook and we got our page blocked many times and ontop of this we had a lot of issues with restrictions from local council with bird flue pandemic and we also had some tragic events Personally and I’ll health which left me unable to work so all in all a bad year so far.
We have managed to turn a corner recently and are conscious that we have many customers who are desperate for hens and we are slowly getting round to supplying and providing hens as we do each season.
Please everyone let us know your demand and we will get back to you

It’s that time of year again where we are preparing all our pullets and areas to be ready for sale when the season starts again. As you maybe aware the bird flu pandemic has had implications on hens and stock levels and also the process so it’s abit slower this time round.. we are aiming for 3rd week in March for all pullets being ready. Here at Aherns Hen House we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who over the last season have contacted us and purchased hens from us whether it is chicks or hybrids or bantam pure breeds and even those who come just for eggs etc.
We are so glad you all love your hens and would like to show you some of the hens we sold this season and would invite you all to post pictures of your hens..
We will be around to contact via this page for any advice in emergencies but will be closed on site and no livestock will be available including eggs now until next year..
We are sorry if we never got round to serving anyone and if we missed any people who may have messaged in the last weeks or so but this was due to some I’ll

Distraction treats and exercise tools are great ways to help keep hens happy and occupied and also to stop and hen hens or bully hens getting board.. These treats give stimulation and also help hens to stop getting aggressive. please post your pics of what you use as there is lots of ways to do it..
