✨create a safe space for your pets to freely go to hide. A crate is fantastic for both dogs and cats! Put some nice bedding in there and cover it with a blanket so it gives your animals a safe den
✨do not join them in the crate. This is your animals safe space, if they want to be in your company they will come to you, joining an animal in their safe spot can actually increase anxiety
✨invest in a pet calming spray or plug in. We highly recommend ‘pet remedy’ which can be purchased from Pet Supplies on Church Street in Wolverton, and loads of other pet stores.
✨keep some high value treats close by, like chicken or cheese. This might help to distract your animals from all the loud noises.
✨Amazon and some pet stores also sell anxiety/thunder jackets for dogs and cats. These help your animals to feel a sense of security and safety.
✨keep your pets inside, and close your curtains, windows and blinds.
✨DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS TO ANY FIREWORK DISPLAYS!!!

Side note: crates are not cruel when used correctly, they are a fantastic tool for training and offer your dog their own area to go to when they want to relax and be alone.
