🌡🌞🌡 We're going to say it ONE MORE TIME as the temperature soars again - NO DOG DIED FROM NOT GOING FOR A WALK... 🌡🌞🌡

Here at Willow Vets we have heard from many clients over the last few weeks who, out of concern, have confronted owners of dogs out for a walk when the temperature was far too high. Answers have ranged from 'they always go out at this time' to 'they (the dog) wanted to go for a walk to 'this is the only time I could take them out'!!! 😱😱😱

NONE OF THESE ARE A GOOD ENOUGH REASON TO RISK YOUR DOG'S LIFE!!!!

So we say again - if you are in any doubt that the temperature is too high to safely walk your dog DO NOT TAKE THEM OUT - they may be cross about it but we'd much rather you have a grumpy-but-alive furbaby than a dead one 😢😢😢

Please please share again everyone - help us to help furbabies everywhere xx

🐾SUMMER REMINDER🐾

With the temperatures soaring, I would like to kindly ask that you DO NOT walk your dog to their grooming appointment in this heat.

🔥 Hot pavement can burn their paws in seconds — if you can’t hold your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for their feet!

🐶 Dogs also overheat quickly, especially short-nosed breeds, seniors, or those with thick coats. Even a short walk can put them at serious risk of heatstroke.

💡 Please bring your pup in a well-ventilated, air-conditioned car if possible. If you can’t get your pup here safely without walking them you may need to rearrange your appointment to a day that you can get them here safely.

I would just like to say a massive thankyou to everyone who’s supported me and the business and allowed us to get to this point.
And I can’t wait for many more years of giving your pups their pampers 🐾
