On Sunday Stuart completed the Ride London 100 charity ride in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK and in memory of his best man, who sadly died of this horrible disease. The ride involved cycling 100 miles from Victoria Embankment into and around Essex and culminating back into London on Tower Bridge.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the recent passing of Astonlee principle Vet and founder Paul Manning. We worked closely with Paul for many years until his health deteriorated. We send our condolencies to Paul's family and to the Astonlee team. 🙏

Just a quick run through of our New COVID-19 compliant drop off and collection procedure;

1. Make booking by telephone or email (and give us your email address).
2. Receive a confirmation booking email from us with a blank boarding agreement form and vaccination request advice.
3. Send the completed boarding agreement form and photo of your vaccination card back to us via email.
4. Call or email to book an allocated time slot (choose a convenient slot that is available)

This will reduce the time spent in our reception at the point of arrival and departure and avoid any unnecessary contact with other customers.

If you arrive early please stay in your car until your time slot comes around.

Thank you for assisting us to be compliant.

The summer is back, so nice to see the place filling back up again. 7am starts, 9.30pm finishes = long days looking after our lovely guests ❤️

It would be greatly appreciated if customers could be punctual with their allocated time slots when arriving or collecting, this will avoid any incidents of our reception having more than one customer at a time👍

Great news today with the reopening of Hotels, Pubs, Restaurants and Leisure on the 4th July. Our reception is now fully Covid safe with full counter length sneeze guards. To adhere to social distancing it will be restricted to one person at a time. Customers are also asked to call 01908 612222 the day before arrival or departure to allocate a time slot. We are ready to receive bookings by phone, email or WhatsApp......happy holidays everyone!

Good news the lockdown is easing.

We have carried out a detailed risk assessment and can now accept admissions via an advanced booking system, allocating customers a time slot to arrive and depart well before the next customer arrives, to avoid any contact with others.

Our reception will remain closed and we will be using our new Isolation room and Isolation compound for drop offs, accessed via the new staff car parking area at the corner of the drive. This will eliminate the need for face to face contact and any possible transmission of the virus. We can remain in contact on the telephone at all time, in the normal manner. Boarding forms and vaccination details will be forwarded to us by email the day before arrival and payment can be made by card over the phone before departure.

We have made the following VIRTUAL TOUR for prospective customers, so that they can view our facilities without the need to actually visit us prior to boarding. We haven’t used an expensive production company so you can see it as it is.........we hope you enjoy!

During the Coronavirus lockdown we have been busy sprucing the place up, doing jobs that we wouldn’t normally have time to do at this time of year.

With the current Government guidelines concerning Non-essential travel and Social Distancing we thought it would be a good idea to produce our own Virtual Tour of the Kennels & Cattery, thus eliminating the need for potential customers to visit us prior to booking. We haven’t enhanced the video or used a professional production company, so you see it as it is......we hope you enjoy!

We also hope that everyone stays safe and healthy and that we can all return to normality soon.

It was a great pleasure to donate some much required PPE (in the form of alcohol hand sanitiser and latex examination gloves to Castlemead Court care home in Newport Pagnell today, who were having problems sourcing some. Even though the Coronavirus outbreak has hit us hard financially it is always good to support our elderly neighbours in the community. We recently had some essential tree surgery works carried out by Browns Tree Solutions who used a 60’ boom lift. The weather allowed for some great photos. Social distancing was fully adhered to with all communications with us carried out by mobile phone.

It is our intention to remain open throughout the Coronavirus crisis. We have installed a glove dispenser and hand sanitiser dispenser in our reception area and would ask all customers to use either or both prior to ringing the bell. We have also purchased a waterproof card machine cover which will be sanitised in between customers. A glove disposal bin will also be available on exit. Thank you for your assistance.

Yesterday Danielle, Eloise & Ricardo attended a Continuing Professional development (CPD) dog first aid course to broaden their knowledge. This now means all staff are fully up to speed on dog first aid. Eloise is also currently studying for her level 5 and Ricardo his level 4 in Animal Management 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓

The maintenance team have been hard at work installing our new internal safety perimeter fencing during our winter closedown. We re-open on the 15th December, but are still answering telephone calls and emails beforehand 🙂
