Ride High Equestrian Centre

🐴 Camp continues today; this morning our campers have been grooming and bathing ponies, some have been hacking, while others have been learning to lunge and long rein in the school... Everyone has also been practicing hard for their final shows on Friday - which we are NOT allowed to share with you yet! ❤ So here's a short clip from yesterday afternoon's show jumping... #summerholidayfun #showjumping #summerridingcamp

🐴 Our 4-day July Summer Camp began today and our riders have been having lots of fun despite the rainy start! Some have been learning how to give a "leg up" - bareback (!), while others have been working on their plaiting and practicing trotting their ponies up in-hand, and of course, they've been riding lots too! 💪 Yesterday we added 58 bales of X-Ride to the outdoor school - Massive thanks to Jerry Taylor from TRT Communications and Adam Cook and the team at Cranswick Country Foods for volunteering along with Gill and Fiona, two of our regular volunteers. Staff mucked in too and with the help of some tractors, the school was ready in time for evening lessons! #teamwork

🚜You might have noticed a few more tractors on local roads recently - it's hay cutting time and farmers are busy cutting and baling while the weather is right. They've also been cutting and baling the long grass in our back fields for us, so we will have some extra hay this winter - the ponies think this is a great idea! 🐴 #haytime #stockingthelarderforwinter

🐴 This summer why not visit us for some pony-fuelled fun at the stables? With plenty of Pony Hours and lots of Led Hacks to choose from, children can come and meet our friendly ponies and try something new this summer break! Ride High Loughton Scarecrow Trail 2024

🪧📚 Loughton Scarecrow Trail is back and you can view Ride High MK 's contribution in our front paddock - the theme this year is bedtime stories and our chosen book is "Stick Man" - the children have worked really hard making all the items to illustrate scenes from the book - we think they've done a super job! #scarecrowtrail @lstrail

⚠ Just a reminder that NO visitors or riders at the Equestrian Centre should be feeding the horses and ponies⚠ Our team are dedicated to keeping our equines in the best possible condition and diet plays a huge part in this - excess calories can cause serious illnesses for horses. So, if you also care for our ponies, please be responsible and do not bring them any "treats", no matter how pleased they are to receive them! Thank you 🙏

May Half Term Pole Work Clinics - RHEC

🐴 Our Half Term activities are now in full swing with a Half Day Ridden Pony Camp, Tots and Pony Hour sessions all running today! We also held 3 Pole Work Clinics this morning where riders worked on their accuracy and impulsion over trot and canter poles, we saw some lovely riding - despite the drizzle - here's a little clip of them in action... #halftermfun #loveponies
